''Anugraham'' is a 1977 Indian Malayalam film, directed by Melattoor Ravi Varma and produced by Melattoor Ravi Varma. The film stars Prem Nazir, Jayabharathi, KPAC Lalitha and Pattom Sadan in the lead roles. The film has musical score by Shankar–Ganesh. Plot This film tells the story of the Brahmin Parashuram who meets the sage Konduraswamy and receives a boon: in exchange for a vow of celibacy he receives a root which enables him to terminate pregnancies. Parashuram's wife (Vanisree) reluctantly goes along with her husband's new convictions and soon he becomes known as a holy man. Thoppil Bhaskara Pillai, known as Thoppil Bhasi (8 April 1924 – 8 December 1992) was an Indian Malayalam-language playwright, screenwriter, and film director. He was associated with the communist movement in Kerala and his play '' Ningalenne Communistakki'' (''You Made Me a Communist'') is considered to be a groundbreaking event in the history of Malayalam theatre. Prathapachandran
Prathapachandran (1941–2004) was an Indian actor, who worked predominantly in Malayalam film, Malayalam film industry, though he acted in a few Tamil and Telugu movies as well. He known for the portrayal of villainous and character roles in over 300 movies. He was born in 1941 at Omallur in Travancore, Thiruvithamkoor princely state, currently within the Pathanamthitta District, Kerala. Vayalar Ramavarma (March 25, 1928 – October 27, 1975), also known as Vayalar, was an Indian poet and lyricist of Malayalam language. He was known for his poems which include ''Sargasangeetham'', ''Mulankaadu'', ''Padamudrakal'', ''Aayisha'' and ''Oru Judas janikkunnu'' and for around 1300 songs he penned for 256 Malayalam films.
