Antonio Ramiro Pérez (born 2 February 1978), known as Antoñito, is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a striker. During his 13-year professional career he played mainly with Sevilla and Xerez, amassing La Liga totals of 147 matches and 26 goals over six seasons and adding 150 games and 35 goals in Segunda División. Club career Antoñito was born in the Seville neighborhood of ''El Polígono de San Pablo'', where he was known as "El Romario del Polígono", and played only amateur football until the age of 22, signing in the summer of 2000 with Sevilla FC – after turning down an offer from Real Betis – and being assigned to the reserve team, scoring 40 goals in his first season to help them promote to the third division. Xerez Club Deportivo, known simply as Xerez, is a Spanish football team based in Jerez de la Frontera, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Xerez currently plays in Tercera División RFEF, the fifth tier of Spanish football. Founded on 24 September 1947, The club's biggest success came in 2009, when they managed to play in La Liga for the first time for the 2009–10 season. Segunda División B ( en, Second Division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. The 2008–09 Segunda División season (known from that season as Liga Adelante for sponsorship reasons) was the 78th since its establishment. The first matches of the season were played on 30 August 2008, and the season ended on 21 June 2009. Real Zaragoza, Real Murcia and Levante were the teams relegated from La Liga the previous season. Alicante, Girona, Huesca and Rayo Vallecano were the teams promoted from Segunda División B the previous season. The first goal of the season was scored by Alexandre Geijo, who scored in the 11th minute for Levante against Real Zaragoza in the early kick-off. The 2005–06 La Liga season, the 75th since its establishment, started on 27 August 2005 and finished on 20 May 2006 due to all top-flight European leagues ending earlier than the previous season because of 2006 FIFA World Cup.
