Antonio Sanz Lozano
Antonio Sanz Lozano (2 June 1622 – 1688) was a Spanish-born prelate of the Catholic Church in the Viceroyalty of Peru in what is now Colombia. From 1661 to 1680, he served as bishop of Cartagena, and from 1680 until his death in 1688, as archbishop of Santafé en Nueva Granada (now the Archdiocese of Bogotá). Biography Sanz was born on 2 June 1622 in Cabanillas del Campo, Spain. On 19 June 1659, Sanz was appointed bishop of Cartagena by Pope Alexander VII, at the age of 37. Located in the Viceroyalty of Peru in South America, the Diocese of Cartagena is located in what is now Colombia. He was confirmed as bishop on 10 November 1659. His episcopal consecration took place on 24 March 1661, with Bishop of Cusco Agustín Muñoz Sandoval as principal consecrator. The Most Reverend
The Most Reverend is a style applied to certain religious figures, primarily within the historic denominations of Christianity, but occasionally in some more modern traditions also. It is a variant of the more common style "The Reverend". Anglican In the Anglican Communion, the style is applied to archbishops (including those who, for historical reasons, bear an alternative title, such as presiding bishop), rather than the style "The Right Reverend" which is used by other bishops. "The Most Reverend" is used by both primates (the senior archbishop of each independent national or regional church) and metropolitan archbishops (as metropolitan of an ecclesiastical province within a national or regional church). Retired archbishops usually revert to being styled "The Right Reverend", although they may be appointed "archbishop emeritus" by their province on retirement, in which case they retain the title "archbishop" and the style "The Most Reverend", as a courtesy. Juan De Arguinao Y Gutiérrez
Juan de Dios de Arguinao y Gutiérrez, OP (April 1588 – 5 October 1678) was a prelate of the Catholic Church in the Viceroyalty of Peru. He served as bishop of Santa Cruz de la Sierra from 1646 to 1659, and as archbishop of Santafé in Nueva Granada (now Bogotá) from 1659 until his death in 1678. Biography Arguinao y Gutiérrez was born in Lima, Viceroyalty of Peru, in April 1588. He joined the Dominican Order and was ordained a priest. On 10 September 1646, Pope Innocent X appointed Arguinao bishop of Santa Cruz de la Sierra in what is now Bolivia. He was consecrated bishop on 17 November 1647 by Pedro de Villagómez Vivanco, the archbishop of Lima. He served there until 1659, when he became archbishop of Santafé en Nueva Granada (now the Archdiocese of Bogotá in what is now Colombia). Gregorius or ''The Good Sinner'' is a Middle High German narrative poem by Hartmann von Aue. Written around 1190 in rhyming couplets, it tells the story of a child born of the incestuous union of a brother and sister, who is brought up in a monastery, ignorant of his origins, marries his mother, repents of his sins and becomes pope. Plot Gregorius' parents are aged approximately 11 when he is born and are the orphaned children of a wealthy duke, and his father dies after being sent on a pilgrimage from Europe to Jerusalem to repent of their sins by a wise old man.
