Antonio Montanari
Antonio Maria Montanari (29 November 1676 in Modena – 2 April 1737 in Rome) was an Italian violinist and composer of the Baroque period. Life Nothing is known of Antonio Maria Montanari's childhood or his musical education but he was already in Rome as a young man, and between 1692 and 1737 documentation exists (albeit with interruptions) indicating his involvement as a violinist, often in important positions, in the orchestra of Cardinal Ottoboni. From 1712 onwards he appears to have held a permanent post in the Ottoboni household but he also served other families of the Roman nobility, and he is thus found among the musicians who performed in George Frederic Handel's La Resurrezione in 1708 in the Palazzo Ruspoli. On this occasion, and on others documented from 1694 onwards, he is referred to as ‘Antonio del sig.r card.le Colonna’, which suggests that he had already been in the service of Cardinal Giovanni Paolo Colonna for some time. Riccardo Minasi (born 1978) is an Italian violinist and conductor in the field of historically informed performance. Life Born in Rome, Minasi received his first music lessons from his mother, studying modern violin with Paolo Centurioni and Alfredo Fiorentini. He then turned to the baroque violin and its repertoire, his teachers in this field being Enrico Parizzi and Luigi Mangiocavallo. The European Union Baroque Orchestra (EUBO) is a training initiative which allows young performers of baroque music from the European Union to gain orchestral experience as part of their career development. Its purpose is to bridge the gap between conservatoire study and a professional career. Johannes Pramsohler is a violinist, conductor and record producer, specialised in Historically informed performance, currently based in Paris. Biography Johannes Pramsohler was born 5 April 1980 in Sterzing in the autonomous Italian province of South Tyrol and studied at the Conservatorio Claudio Monteverdi in Bolzano, at the Paris Conservatoire CRR, at the Mozarteum Salzburg, at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and at the Royal Academy of Music in London. His main teachers were Georg Egger, Jack Glickman, Rachel Podger and Reinhard Goebel.
