Antonio Gómez (jurist)
Antonio Gómez (born after 1500; died before 1572) was a Spanish jurist and priest. After studies at the University of Salamanca, he taught law there and also served as archpriest of Toledo, then the richest diocese in Christendom. His principal work is his 1555 commentary, ''Ad leges tauri commentarium absolutissimum'', on the ''Leyes de Toro''. These were a set of laws promulgated in Toro governing matters of marriage and inheritance, which remained in force in Castile until the entry into force of the civil code A civil code is a codification of private law relating to property, family, and obligations. Antonio Enríquez Gómez
Antonio Enríquez Gómez (c. 1601c. 1661), Spanish dramatist, poet and novelist of Spanish-Jewish origin, was known in the early part of his career as Enríque Enríquez de Paz. Furthermore, certain of his works feature the alternate spelling Antonio Henrique Gómez. Born into a family of Conversos at Segovia, Gómez entered the Spanish Army, where he obtained a Captaincy. Captain Gómez was suspected of Crypto-Judaism, or being, "a Marrano", and fled to France about 1636. He adopted the name Antonio Enríquez Gómez, and became major-domo to King Louis XIII of France, to whom he dedicated ''Luis dado de Dios 4 Anna'' (Paris, 1645). Some twelve years later he moved to Amsterdam, where he announced his conversion to Judaism. In response, the Spanish Inquisition had Gómez burned in effigy at Seville on April 14, 1660. Antonio Gomez (born 30 September 1944) is a Venezuelan former professional boxer who fought in the featherweight division. He won the WBA world featherweight title in 1971. Professional career Gomez made his professional debut on 28 February 1967 against Eduardo Blanco in Caracas. After scoring a knockout over Blanco, Gomez won six fights, all in Caracas, before Domingo Bastidas became the first man to beat him—scoring a third round knockout in their 2 September 1967 contest. Gomez managed a run of eleven victories before losing to Gustavo Briceno, for his second defeat, on 4 November 1968. On 10 November 1969 Gomez defeated future Light Welterweight world champion Antonio Cervantes. Gomez fought for the first time outside of Venezuela on 12 February 1970, when he travelled to Inglewood, California, to beat Gil Noriega by an eighth round knockout. Antonio Gómez Pérez (; born 1 August 1973) is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a midfielder, currently a manager. Playing career Born in Madrid, Gómez was brought up in La Liga giants Real Madrid's youth ranks, making his first-team debut in the 1995–96 season as Jorge Valdano was the team coach. He scored twice in only six appearances during the campaign, but his presence with the main squad would be merely testimonial. After an unassuming loan to Sevilla FC – 14 matches out of 42, top-flight relegation– Gómez was released by Real Madrid, continuing his career with Albacete Balompié (Segunda División), Hércules CF (two seasons, one in the Segunda División B), CD Toledo and amateurs La Roda CF and retiring in 2006 at the age of 33. Antonio Gómez Roldán (born 20 June 1992) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Ripollet as a winger. Football career Born in La Llagosta, Barcelona, Catalonia, Gómez finished his formation with UE Castelldefels' youth setup, after joining the club from neighbouring CE L'Hospitalet in April 2011. In July, he was loaned to UDA Gramenet's reserves, and was assigned to the first-team in the 2012 summer. On 8 May 2013, Gómez moved to CE Sabadell FC, being assigned to the reserves.
