Antonina Ordina
Antonina Ordina (russian: Антонина Ордина) (born 24 January 1962 in Naryan-Mar) is a former Soviet/Swedish cross-country skier who competed at international level from 1985 to 2002. In Soviet time she trained at Dynamo in Kalinin. She won three medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, with a gold in the 4 × 5 km relay (1987 and bronzes in the 30 km and the 4 × 5 km relay (both 1995). Ordina's best individual finish at the Winter Olympics was seventh in the 15 km event at Lillehammer in 1994. She also has nineteen victories at various levels in various distances from 1992 to 2002. She became a Swedish citizen in 1994. She graduated from the Swedish Police Academy in 2007 and works as a police officer in Karlstad, Värmland County. Naryan-Mar
Naryan-Mar (russian: Нарья́н-Мар; Nenets: Няръянa марˮ, ''Njarjana marꜧ'', literally "red town") is a sea and river port town and the administrative center of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Russia. The town is situated on the right bank of the Pechora River, upstream from the river's mouth, on the Barents Sea. Naryan-Mar lies north of the Arctic Circle. Population: 17,000 (1973). About half of the population of Nenetsia lives in the city. History Industrial development in the area around Naryan-Mar began in 1930, in the course of the first five-year plan of the Soviet Union. The growth of the region was the direct result of the development of the Pechora coalfield and the construction of related industrial infrastructure. The ''Fédération internationale de ski et de snowboard'' (FIS; en, International Ski and Snowboard Federation) is the highest international governing body for skiing and snowboarding. Founded on 2 February 1924 in Chamonix, France during the inaugural Winter Olympic Games, the FIS is responsible for the Olympic disciplines of Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, Nordic combined, freestyle skiing, and snowboarding. The FIS is also responsible for setting the international competition rules. The organization has a membership of 132 national ski associations, and is based in Oberhofen am Thunersee, Switzerland. ''Expressen'' (''The Express'') is one of two nationwide evening newspapers in Sweden, the other being '' Aftonbladet''. ''Expressen'' was founded in 1944; its symbol is a wasp and its slogans are "it stings" or "''Expressen'' to your rescue". Värmland County (''Värmlands län'') is a county or '' län'' in west central Sweden. Karlstad (, ) is the 20th-largest city in Sweden, the seat of Karlstad Municipality, the capital of Värmland County, and the largest city in the province Värmland in Sweden.
