Anton Tus
Anton Tus (born 22 November 1931) is a retired Croatian general who served as head of the Yugoslav Air Force between 1985 and 1991 and was the first Chief of Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces from 1991 to 1992 during the Croatian War of Independence. Biography A graduate of the Yugoslav Air Force Academy, Tus spent most of his career serving in the Yugoslav Air Force. From 1968 to 1969 he was commander of the 204th Fighter Aviation Regiment stationed at Batajnica Air Base. After that he was commander of the 5th Air Force and Air Defence Corps based in SR Croatia. In 1985 he was promoted to the head of the Yugoslav Air Force and held that post until his defection in May 1991 amid the breakup of Yugoslavia. Bribir, Primorje-Gorski Kotar County
Bribir is a village in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County of Croatia. It is located near Crikvenica and Novi Vinodolski, in a valley 5 km from the Adriatic Sea. It has a population of 1,695 (census 2011) and the post code HR-51253. It is the seat of the Vinodol, Croatia, Vinodol Municipality. General The remains of the old walls and the city tower are reminiscent of the time of the princes of Frankopan, whose four centuries of rule left deep spiritual and material traces in Vinodol. Bribir experienced its greatest flourishing during the reign of Prince Bernardin Frankopan, who fortified the castle and the city walls. When the Bribir estate was abolished in 1848, the municipal government demolished the Vela and Mala gates and the castle, and a school was built in its place. It is published by the eponymous public company. The Narodne novine started as the ''Novine Horvatzke'', first published on January 6, 1835, by Ljudevit Gaj, who created and printed the paper. Franjo Tuđman
Franjo Tuđman (; 14 May 1922 – 10 December 1999), also written as Franjo Tudjman, was a Croatian politician and historian. Following the country's independence from Yugoslavia, he became the first president of Croatia and served as president from 1990 until his death in 1999. He was the ninth and last President of the Presidency of SR Croatia from May to July 1990. Tuđman was born in Veliko Trgovišće. In his youth, he fought during World War II as a member of the Yugoslav Partisans. After the war, he took a post in the Ministry of Defence, later attaining the rank of major general of the Yugoslav Army in 1960. After his military career, he dedicated himself to the study of geopolitics. In 1963, he became a professor at the Zagreb Faculty of Political Sciences.
