Antoine Bauza
Antoine Bauza (born 25 August 1978) is a French game designer. He designs board games, role-playing games and video games as well as being an author of children's books. Life and career Bauza was born on 25 August 1978. As a teenager, he was very interested in role-playing games, and wanted to become a video game designer. However, Bauza decided not to pursue video games as a career because he did not want to move away to Shanghai or Montreal, where video game companies were hiring at the time. He instead decided to become a teacher. After reconnecting with friends who started to hold their own game nights, Bauza began making his first board game prototypes in 2003 during his free time while studying at the Institut Universitaire de Formation des Maîtres. An avid board game player, Bauza decided to start making board games in 2007. In 2010, he began working on board games full-time. Lucca Comics & Games is an annual Comic book convention, comic book and gaming convention in Lucca, Italy, traditionally held at the end of October, in conjunction with All Saints' Day. It is the largest comics festival in Europe, and the second biggest in the world after the Comiket. It was started in 1990 by the German magazine ''Die Pöppel-Revue'', which collects votes from the industry's stores, magazines, professionals and game clubs. ''Little Wizards'', also called ''Young Wizards'', is a 1987–1988 American animated series, created by Len Janson and Chuck Menville and produced by Marvel Productions and New World International. The series follows the fortunes of Dexter, a young prince without a crown, whose father, the old king, is dead. Soon after that, the evil wizard Renvick stole the crown and proclaimed himself king. He ordered his servants to imprison Dexter for fear that he would get in his way. However, Dexter fled into the woods, where he was found by the good magician Phineas, who rescues him. Phineas lives with a young dragon called Lulu. When preparing a potion, Dexter unwittingly caused an explosion bringing to life three monsters endowed with magical powers – Winkle, Gump and Boo. The game play involves using physical actions and various wooden game pieces to knock over buildings represented by cardboard tiles and held up by meeple figures. Setting The game's setting is Meeple City, represented by a physical game board on which are built several "buildings" constructed out of cardboard "floors" and held up by wooden meeple figures. The city is under attack by giant lizard-like monsters controlled by the players, whose goal is to demolish the buildings and eat the meeples which are knocked free by doing so. Gameplay The monsters themselves, as well as the meeples and tokens representing vehicles, are constructed from wood and are heavier than typical game pieces. ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib ( ar, عَلِيّ بْن أَبِي طَالِب; 600 – 661 CE) was the last of four Rightly Guided Caliphs to rule Islam () immediately after the death of Muhammad, and he was the first Shia Imam.
