In geometry, antiparallel lines (or anti-parallel lines) can be defined with respect to either lines or angles. Definitions Given two lines m_1 and m_2, lines l_1 and l_2 are antiparallel with respect to m_1 and m_2 if \angle 1 = \angle 2, as shown in Fig.1. If l_1 and l_2 are antiparallel with respect to m_1 and m_2, then m_1 and m_2 are also antiparallel with respect to l_1 and l_2. In any quadrilateral inscribed in a circle, any two opposite sides are antiparallel with respect to the other two sides (Fig.2). Geometry (; ) is, with arithmetic, one of the oldest branches of mathematics. It is concerned with properties of space such as the distance, shape, size, and relative position of figures. A mathematician who works in the field of geometry is called a ''geometer''. In geometry, a cevian is a line that intersects both a triangle's vertex, and also the side that is opposite to that vertex. Medians and angle bisectors are special cases of cevians.
