Anthony Saliba
Anthony "Tony" J. Saliba (born May 5, 1955) is a trader, author, and entrepreneur based out of Chicago, Illinois. He currently serves as CEO of Matrix Holding Group, Mercury Digital Assets, Option Technology Solutions, and Fortify Technologies. Early life and education Saliba grew up in the Chicago area. He attended Highland Park High School in Highland Park, Illinois, where he competed in wrestling, track, and cross country, and edited the school newspaper, and graduated in 1973. His interest in trading began in high school when he caddied for grain traders. He graduated as an Evans Scholar from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business with a B.S. in accounting in 1977. Career Saliba began his career as a stockbroker at a small firm in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1977. NYSE Chicago, formerly known as the Chicago Stock Exchange (CHX), is a stock exchange in Chicago, Illinois, US. The exchange is a national securities exchange and self-regulatory organization, which operates under the oversight of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) acquired CHX in July 2018 and the exchange rebranded as NYSE Chicago in February 2019. History 1882–1900 The Chicago Stock Exchange was founded in a formal meeting on March 21, 1882. At this time, Charles Henrotin was elected the chairman and president. In April that year, a lease was taken out at 115 Dearborn Street for the location of the exchange and during that year 750 memberships were sold.
