Patrick Pasculli
Patrick L. Pasculli (born August 10, 1947) is a retired educator and American Democratic Party politician who served as the 34th mayor of his native Hoboken, New Jersey, from 1988 to 1993. Biography He was born on August 10, 1947, and was reared in Hoboken. He was serving as president of the Hoboken City Council at the time of the death of Mayor Thomas Vezzetti in 1988. Pasculli was elected by the city council to serve as acting mayor. He resigned his seat on the Council, and was elected to a full term in 1989. He ran for mayor in 1989 on the promise to open the Hoboken waterfront to development. Pasculli's campaign led to the formation of the Coalition for a Better Waterfront which opposed his plan to lease city-owned land to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for commercial development. David Roberts (mayor)
David Roberts (born July 14, 1956) was the 36th mayor of Hoboken, New Jersey, holding the office from 2001 to 2009. Roberts declined to seek re-election in 2009, retiring from a political career of 25 years. Biography He was born on July 14, 1956. Roberts graduated from Hoboken High School and then attended Jersey City State College and then Thomas Edison State College, where he received a degree in Political Science. Roberts first began serving the public as a Hoboken firefighter in 1981. In 1984 he received a class three citation for valor as a firefighter for his efforts in a team rescue of two children on Clinton Street in Hoboken.
