Anthony Moyles
Anthony Moyles (born 16 November 1976) is an Irish Gaelic football coach and former player who currently manages Dunshaughlin GAA, Dunsaughlin in the Meath Senior Football Championship. Moyles originally played for local club St Pauls GFC, St Pauls in the Meath Junior Football Championship, Junior Championship and was on a team that earned promotion to the Meath Intermediate Football Championship, Intermediate division. In 2002 he transferred to Blackhall Gaels GAA, Blackhall Gaels with whom he won his first Meath , Senior Championship title in 2003. Between late 2008 and early 2009 Moyles moved to St Oliver Plunketts/Eoghan Ruadh GAA, St Oliver Plunketts/Eoghan Ruadh, a Dublin Senior Football Championship, top level team in County Dublin, Dublin. Brendan Murphy (Meath GAA)
Brendan Murphy (born 19 August 1975) is an Irish former footballer who played soccer for the Republic of Ireland U21 and B national teams and Gaelic football for the Meath county team. Career Soccer Murphy played as a goalkeeper with Bradford City and Wimbledon where he played for 5 seasons. Murphy did not play in a league match for Wimbledon, but he appeared in Intertoto Cup matches. In 1999 Murphy moved back to Ireland where he played for a season with Dundalk before returning to play his final 2-year stint in England with Kidderminster Harriers in 2000. Murphy won eight Republic of Ireland under-21 caps and one B cap. He was also called up to the senior team by manager Mick McCarthy for an away international friendly match against Wales in 1997, although he remained an unused substitute. Leinster Senior Football Championship
The Leinster Senior Football Championship, known simply as the Leinster Championship and shortened to Leinster SFC, is an annual inter-county Gaelic football competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county Gaelic football competition in the province of Leinster, and has been contested every year since the 1888 championship. 2010 Leinster Senior Football Championship Final
The 2010 Leinster Senior Football Championship Final was the last football match of the 2010 Leinster Senior Football Championship, played between Louth and Meath on 11 July 2010 in Croke Park, Dublin. Louth were appearing in their first Leinster Senior Football Championship Final in 50 years. The game is memorable for its contentious conclusion, such that in 2020 it was described as "the most controversial Leinster final ever". Meath won by 1–12 to 1–10, thanks to a controversial late goal by Joe Sheridan. The goal was deemed illegal by television replays but was declared valid by referee Martin Sludden, from County Tyrone. He then blew the final whistle. Irate Louth fans stormed the pitch and commenced a process of chasing and physically assaulting the referee, who had to be led away by a Garda escort in scenes broadcast to a live television audience. The Dublin Senior Football Championship (currently known for sponsorship reasons as the '' Go-Ahead'' Dublin Senior Football Championship) is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association competition between the top Dublin GAA clubs.
