Antoine Hamilton
Antoine (or Anthony) Hamilton, comte ( – 1719) was a soldier and a writer of literature. As a Catholic of Irish and Scottish ancestry, he fled with his family to France during the Interregnum and later sided with James II against the Prince of Orange, which led him into another French exile. As a soldier he fought in French service in the Franco-Dutch War (1672–1678) and then in the Irish Army in the Williamite War (1688–1690) where he fought on the losing side in the battles of Newtownbutler and the Boyne. As a writer he chose French as his language and adopted a light and elegant style, seeking to amuse and entertain his reader. He is mainly known for the ''Mémoires du Comte de Grammont'', which focuses on the time his brother-in-law Philibert, comte de Gramont, spent at the court of Charles II at Whitehall. Anthony Hamilton (Archdeacon Of Colchester)
Anthony Hamilton (1739–1812) was an Anglican priest, Archdeacon of Colchester from 1775. Life His father Alexander Hamilton was the fifth son of William Hamilton the Scottish antiquarian, who died in 1724. He had married the heiress Charlotte Styles, and so acquired the Essex manor of Holyfield (Hallifield), in the north-east of the parish of Waltham Abbey which remained in the family into the 19th century. The Hamilton family owned also the Debden Hall farm and estate (see Debden House). The owner of Debden Hall was Alex. Hamilton on a map of 1777. Venn's ''Alumni Cantabrigienses'' proposes the identification of Alexander Hamilton as the London solicitor of the name. Ian Anthony Hamilton-Smith, 3rd Baron Colwyn (born 1 January 1942), commonly known as Anthony Hamilton-Smith, is a peer, dentist and politician. He was one of 90 hereditary peers elected to remain in the House of Lords after the House of Lords Act 1999, sitting as a Conservative. He retired from the House of Lords on 21 July 2022. The son of the 2nd Baron Colwyn was educated at Cheltenham College, at St Bartholomew's Hospital and at the Royal Dental Hospital. He was further educated at the University of London, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and a Licentiate in Dental Surgery (LDS) in 1966, and became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. The Watts Prophets
The Watts Prophets were an American political poetry group from Watts, California, United States. Like their contemporaries The Last Poets, the group combined elements of jazz music and spoken-word performance, making the trio one that is often seen as a forerunner of contemporary hip-hop music. Formed in 1967, the group comprised Richard Dedeaux, Fr Amde Hamilton (born Anthony Hamilton), and Otis O'Solomon (also billed as Otis O'Solomon Smith) (O'Solomon removed the "Smith" from his name in the 1970s). Hamilton is the last surviving member as of March 2022. History Hamilton, O'Solomon, and Dedeaux first met and collaborated at the Watts Writers Workshop, an organization created by Budd Schulberg in the wake of the Watts Riots, as the Civil Rights Movement was beginning to take a new cultural turn. Antony Hamilton Smith (4 May 1952 – 29 March 1995) was an English-Australian actor, model and dancer. Hamilton began his career as a ballet dancer with The Australian Ballet before becoming a model. He later transitioned into acting and won his first notable role in the 1984 television film ''Samson and Delilah''. That same year, he took over the lead role in the series ''Cover Up'' after the death of the series' lead actor, Jon-Erik Hexum. One of Hamilton's best-known roles was that of Max Harte, an agent in the 1988 revival of '' Mission: Impossible''. In March 1995, Hamilton died of AIDS-related pneumonia at the age of 42. Anthony Hamilton (born 18 February 1969 in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire) is a former British Paralympic athlete who represented the United Kingdom at the 1988 and 1992 Paralympic games. He was the winner of two gold medals in the 800m and 1500m in the B3 category at the 1988 games, where he broke the world record for the fastest time over 1500m. In 1992 in Barcelona he won the bronze in the 1500m B3. Hamilton is partially sighted and boarded at Exhall Grange School near Coventry. He was still at school when he first represented his country. Away from athletics he trained as a teacher, and has taught geography at schools around the Midlands. Anthony Cornelius Hamilton (born January 28, 1971) is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer who rose to fame with his platinum-selling second studio album '' Comin' from Where I'm From'' (2003), which featured the title track single " Comin' from Where I'm From" and the follow-up " Charlene". Nominated for 17 Grammy Awards, he is also known for the song "Freedom" from the soundtrack album of ''Django Unchained'' co-written and sung as a duo with indie soul singer Elayna Boynton.
