Anthony Fisher
Anthony Colin Fisher (born 10 March 1960) is an Australian prelate of the Roman Catholic Church and a friar of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans). Since 12 November 2014, he has been the ninth Catholic Archbishop of Sydney. He served as the third Bishop of Parramatta from 4 March 2010 to 12 November 2014, having previously served as an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Sydney. Early life and education Fisher was born the eldest of five children in Crows Nest, Sydney, to Gloria Maguregui, whose father was of Spanish Basque origin and whose mother was half Italian and half Romanian – she migrated with her family to Australia from Asia in the 1950s – and Colin Fisher, a pharmacist from Ashfield with Anglo-Irish roots. Sir Antony George Anson Fisher (28 June 1915 – 8 July 1988), nicknamed AGAF, was a British businessman and think tank founder. He participated in the formation of various libertarian organisations during the second half of the twentieth century, including the Institute of Economic Affairs and the Atlas Network. Anthony Guy Corey Fisher (born April 8, 1988) is an American-Georgian professional basketball player for Vichy-Clermont of the LNB Pro B. A point guard, he attended Villanova University in Pennsylvania. Fisher decided on Villanova due to its combination of athletics and academics. Fisher played high school basketball for St. Patrick High School in Elizabeth, New Jersey, where he was a Parade All-American in 2007. Anthony Fisher (born 24 January 1994) is an Australian former professional basketball player. He played the majority of his career in the South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL) and Queensland Basketball League (QBL), playing for the Ballarat Miners (2011–2015) and Cairns Marlins (2016–2019; 2021). He was a member of the Marlins' championship-winning team in 2016. He also had stints in the National Basketball League (NBL) with the Perth Wildcats and Cairns Taipans. Anthony Fisher (Massachusetts Politician)
Lieutenant Anthony Fisher represented Dedham, Massachusetts in the Great and General Court. He was also a selectman for three years. Fisher was baptized in Syleham, Suffolk in April 1591 and lived on the south bank of the River Waveney on an estate known as Wignotte. He came to America on board the ''Rose'' in 1637 and settled in Dedham. Once in Dedham he signed the Dedham Covenant. As of 2004, one of his descendants in Dedham still owned a part of his land. Fisher served as lieutenant in the French and Indian Wars of 1652. He briefly owned the land that came to be known as Broad Oak. He was a member of the First Church and Parish in Dedham but was not "comfortably received into the church until March 1645 on account of his proud and haughty spirit." Pfuri, Gorps and Kniri was a Swiss folk/blues music group consisting of Pfuri Baldenweg (born 26 November 1946), Anthony "Gorps" Fischer (1947-2000) and Peter "Kniri" Knaus (born 3 March 1945 in Aarau).
