Anthelion (band)
Anthelion are a Taiwanese symphonic black metal band. The current members are Code, Zeist, Troy and Siniz. Biography Beginning (2001-2004) Anthelion was founded by members Code, Zeist, Troy and Jin in Keelung, Taiwan in 2001. Three months later, they released their first demo containing three songs pertaining to the band's original melodic, black metal inspired sound. In 2002, when the members of Anthelion were only 19 years old, they were for the first time invited to perform at a large music festival - Formoz Festival - in Taiwan. In this year, Anthelion also performed at the Metal Immortal (金屬永生) concert in Taiwan, which was headlined by Dark Funeral. Following this, Anthelion were the opening act for ChthoniC's Relentless for 7 Years concert (冥誕七年演唱會). Symphonic Black Metal
Symphonic black metal is a subgenre of black metal that emerged in the 1990s and incorporates symphonic and orchestral elements. Notable symphonic black metal bands include Cradle Of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Emperor, and Carach Angren. History The first extreme metal bands incorporating orchestral elements into their music were Bulldozer on their album ''Neurodeliri'' (1988), Master's Hammer on ''Ritual'' (1991) and '' The Jilemnice Occultist'' (1993) and Sigh on their debut ''Scorn Defeat'' (1993). The style on Emperor's ''In the Nightside Eclipse'' (1994) had a pioneering influence though and was the main inspiration for many keyboard-based black metal bands following after. Chungshan Soccer Stadium
Zhongshan Soccer Stadium, Chungshan Soccer Stadium, or Taipei Soccer Stadium () was a multi-purpose stadium in Zhongshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. It was established in 1923 as during the Japanese period. The soccer stadium was opened in 1989, it was reconstructed from the former site of Yuanshan Baseball Ground () under the guidance of then Chinese Taipei Football Association President Chiang Wei-kuo. Although it was built as a soccer-specific stadium, it was mostly used for live concerts or other activities due to lack of professional football league in Taiwan. The stadium was able to hold 20,000 people for football games and 40,000 for concerts. It was managed by the Hope Foundation led by former athlete Chi Cheng. A symphony is an extended musical composition in Western classical music, most often for orchestra. Although the term has had many meanings from its origins in the ancient Greek era, by the late 18th century the word had taken on the meaning common today: a work usually consisting of multiple distinct sections or movements, often four, with the first movement in sonata form. Symphonies are almost always scored for an orchestra consisting of a string section (violin, viola, cello, and double bass), brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments which altogether number about 30 to 100 musicians. Studio Fredman is a well-known recording studio in Gothenburg, Sweden, owned and operated by producer Fredrik Nordström. It is popular among Swedish metal bands, with artists such as At the Gates, Deathstars, Nightrage, Norwegian band Dimmu Borgir, Arch Enemy, Soilwork, Dark Tranquillity, In Flames, Zonaria, Machinae Supremacy, HammerFall, England's Bring Me the Horizon, A Breach of Silence, and Opeth recording multiple releases in the studio. Spring Scream
The Spring Scream () is an outdoor music festival held in early April each year at Kenting, Pingtung County, Taiwan. The festival showcases a variety of music styles from bands both from Taiwan and overseas. Each year the festival adds the name of the current Chinese astrological animal to its name. The festival is organized by two expatriate Americans, Wade Davis and Jimi Moe, and has grown significantly since its beginnings in 1995. The event length has been between 2 and 11 days and as many as 300 acts on 8 stages. It also features a film festival, art exhibits, DJs, stalls, food vendors and camping.
