Anthea Turner
Anthea Turner (born 25 May 1960) is an English former television presenter. She was a host of ''Blue Peter'' from 1992 until 1994, and of ''GMTV'' from 1994 until 1996. Early life Turner was born in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, and educated at the Roman Catholic girls' school St Dominic's Grammar School in Stoke. She was one of three daughters born to her parents Brian and Jean Turner. One of her sisters, Ruth, died aged 15. Her other sister is presenter Wendy Turner Webster. Career Turner joined BBC Radio Stoke as a runner, eventually joining breakfast show presenter Bruno Brookes as part of his rap crew. Anthea Bell (10 May 1936 – 18 October 2018) was an English translator of literary works, including children's literature, from French, German and Danish. These include '' The Castle'' by Franz Kafka, ''Austerlitz'' by W. G. Sebald, the '' Inkworld'' trilogy by Cornelia Funke and the French ''Asterix'' comics with co-translator Derek Hockridge. Biography Bell was born in Suffolk on 10 May 1936. According to her own accounts, she picked up lateral thinking abilities essential in a translator from her father Adrian Bell, Suffolk author and the first ''Times'' cryptic crossword setter. Anthea Deidre Butler (born 1960) is an African-American professor of religion and chair of the University of Pennsylvania Department of Religious Studies, where she is the Geraldine R. Anthea Sylbert (born October 6, 1939) is an American film producer and costume designer, who was active during the "modern era" of American film. She was nominated twice for Academy Awards for Best Costume Design, first at the 47th Academy Awards for ''Chinatown'' (1974), and then at the 50th Academy Awards for her work on ''Julia'' (1977). In addition, she has more than ten credits as producer or executive producer, including for such works as ''CrissCross'' (1991) and the television film '' Truman'' (1995), the latter of which earned Sylbert an Emmy. At the 7th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards in 2005, Sylbert was an honoree, receiving the Lacoste Career Achievement award for film. Anthea Benton is a British television commercial and music video director, best known for her adverts for Stella Artois and Levi's. Career Benton began her career as a Fashion Designer and moved into directing in 1982 as half of the directing duo Vaughan and Anthea (with Vaughan Arnell). The two worked together for over a decade, initially concentrating on music videos, making a number of memorable promos in the burgeoning field including Dead or Alive's "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)", Jamiroquai's " Space Cowboy", Take That's " Back for Good", Anggun's "Snow on the Sahara" and George Michael's "Fastlove" and "Spinning the Wheel". Anthea Bernice Redfern (born 15 April 1948) is a British former television host, best known as the assistant to Bruce Forsyth, her husband of six years, on the BBC's ''The Generation Game'' during its first run in the 1970s.
