Antham
''Antham'' () is a 1992 Indian neo-noir crime film written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma, filmed simultaneously in both Telugu and Hindi languages. The film starred Nagarjuna, Urmila Matondkar, Salim Ghouse, and Danny Denzongpa. The soundtrack was composed by R. D. Burman, as well as, Mani Sharma and M.M. Keeravani, who each composed one song. The background score, of the film, was composed by Mani Sharma. The Hindi version was titled ''Drohi'' (). However, it released on 23 October 1992, on Diwali that year, a month after the release of the Telugu version. Both the versions, as well as the music, received positive reviews upon release. Plot Raghav (Nagarjuna) is an orphan and receives assignments from an underworld gangster, J.P. Shetty (Danny Denzongpa), who hired him for contract killing, as a full-time job. Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry (born Chembolu Seetharama Sastry; 20 May 1955 – 30 November 2021) was an Indian poet and lyricist known for his works in Telugu cinema and Telugu theatre. He acquired the stage name Sirivennela after writing the lyrics for K. Viswanath's directorial film of the same name in 1986. Sastry has garnered several awards including eleven state Nandi Awards and four Filmfare Awards South for his work. He has penned lyrics for over 3000 songs until 2020. In 2019, he was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award in India, for his contributions towards the field of arts and aesthetics. Urmila Matondkar (born 4 February 1974) is an Indian actress and politician. Known for her work primarily in Hindi films, in addition to Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi and Tamil films, she has received numerous accolades, including the Filmfare Award and the Nandi Award. Salim Ahmad Ghouse (10 January 1952 – 28 April 2022) was an Indian film, television and theatre actor, theatre director, and martial artist. Vinod Rathod (born 12 September 1962) is an Indian playback singer who primarily sings in Bollywood films. Rathod is the son of late classical musician, Pandit Chaturbhuj Rathod.
