Antenna (record Label)
Antenna (Hangul: 안테나) is a South Korean record label founded by You Hee-yeol of the band Toy in 1997. Formerly an independent label, it was fully incorporated as a subsidiary under Kakao Entertainment in August 2021. History South Korean musician You Hee-yeol, known as Toy, founded the indie record label Toy Music in 1997. In the following decade, the label published several albums by artists including Lucid Fall, Kim Yeon-woo, Dear Cloud, and You Hee-yeol himself. You Hee-yeol
You Hee-yeol (; born April 19, 1971) is a South Korean singer-songwriter, radio disk jockey, and the host of ''You Hee-yeol's Sketchbook''. He is the founder of the record label Antenna Music and the sole member of the project band Toy. Biography You Hee-yeol was born in Seoul and attended Kyungbock High School. He graduated from Seoul National University's College of Music with a major in composition. He first appeared in the local pop music scene by winning the grand prize at the fourth You Jae-ha Music Contest held in 1992 with the song "달빛의 노래" ("The Moonlight Song"). In 1994, he started the band Toy as a duo with Yoon Jeong-oh. But after releasing Toy's first album, Yoon left the band to study overseas and You joined the navy for his mandatory military service. Career Toy started as a duo of You Hee-yeol and Yoon Jeong-oh, and was named after their two initials 'Y', as in Two + Y = Toy. Crystal Yi (born 1993), known by the stage name Chai or her Korean name Lee Soo-jung (), is a Korean-American singer-songwriter. She is best known for winning SBS's ''K-pop Star 5''. Career In 2015–2016, Yi participated in the fifth season of the audition talent show ''K-pop Star''. She finished in first place with a perfect score of 300 points and selected Antenna as her agency. Lee Jin-ah
Lee Jin-ah (; born March 16, 1991) is a South Korean singer-songwriter and jazz pianist. After finishing in third place on SBS's ''K-pop Star 4'', she signed with Antenna in 2015. Her distinctive musical style combines jazz with pop and R&B, often featuring whimsical lyrics. Personal life Lee Jin-ah majored in applied music at Seoul Institute of the Arts. Sam Kim (; born February 19, 1998) is an American singer-songwriter, producer, and guitarist based in South Korea. He is signed under Antenna Music, having finished as the runner-up of the talent show ''K-pop Star 3''. He made his official debut on April 10, 2016 with the EP ''I Am Sam'', and followed it with the studio album '' Sun and Moon'' on November 22, 2018. Park Saebyul (; born October 24, 1985) is a South Korean indie singer-songwriter. Life and career Park Saebyul was born in Seoul and graduated from Yonsei University in 2010 with a major in psychology. Before her debut, she served as a keyboard session for stages and album of Lucid Fall. In 2008, she released her first mini-album 《Diary》, and in March 2010, the first regular album 《새벽별 (Morning Star)》 written and produced by herself was released. Jung Jae-hyung (; born January 12, 1970) is a South Korean pop singer-songwriter, pianist and film music composer. Currently, his agency is the Antenna. Biography Jung Jae-hyung was born in Seoul and graduated from Hanyang University's College of Music, with a major in composition. Before his debut, he was not affected by any kind of pop music and immersed only in classical music. He made his debut in K-pop in 1995 as part of the group 'Basis(베이시스)' with his college classmates. Basis had its heyday with the success of several titles across three albums. In 1999, the band split and Jung went to France to attend École Normale de Musique de Paris. Peppertones
Peppertones (Hangul: 페퍼톤스), is a Korean rock band formed in 2003 by Shin Jae-pyung and Lee Jang-won. The pair met as computer science students at KAIST in Daejeon. The band's first EP album ''A Preview'' was released in 2004. They released their first album, ''Colorful Express'', in 2005. Members * Shin Jae-pyung (신재평) a.k.a.
