Dom Anselmo Costadoni, O.S.B. Cam., (1714–1785) was an Italian Camaldolese monk, historian and theologian. Biography He was born on 6 October 1714, at Venice and christened Giovanni Domenico. The son of a rich merchant, he sacrificed at an early date his prospects of success in the world and took the religious habit of the Camaldolese monks at the Monastery of St. Michael, situated on the island of Murano in the Venetian lagoon. Here he studied philosophy and theology with more than usual success. At the age of twenty-three he revealed his literary ability in a letter (Lettera critica) written in defense of certain Camaldolese writers, who had been attacked by Giusto Fontanini in his "Library of Italian Eloquence". Anselmo Piccoli
Anselmo Piccoli (September 4, 1915 – July 12, 1992) was an Argentine Abstract artist. Life and work Anselmo Piccoli was born in Rosario, Argentina in 1915. Politically active as a Socialist during secondary school, Piccoli found time to attend the local Gaspary Academy, where he was trained as a painter. There, he met Antonio Berni, an increasingly well-known Figurative artist, in 1932, and Berni became a mentor to the promising young artist. The two began a collaboration on ''Wounded Man'', presented jointly at the local Autumn Art Festival of 1935. The mural, performed in lacquer blown through a tube, proved to be a lasting percent for Piccoli by way of its texture. His work was awarded at a competition in Rosario in 1941 and he joined the Independent Artists' Group, a local guild in 1942. Anselmo Pardo Alcaide (1913–1977) was a Spanish entomologist. Career Throughout his life he combined his work as a teacher with his entomological studies. He published his first scientific paper in 1936, at 23 years of age, in which he described his first species new to science, ''Aphodius ambrosi'' (Coleoptera, Scarabaeidae) in northern Morocco. Anselmo López (April 21, 1934 – February 14, 2016) was one of the most important ''bandola llanera'' players in Venezuela. He is the creator of the ''Jalao'' (Spanish for "pull") technique, which applies a technique derived from the classical guitar to the bandola llanera. In the jalao, the thumb and index fingers hold the plectrum to pick the melody, while the nail of the index or middle finger, or sometimes the plectrum itself, is used to pluck harmonic notes in the chord of the melody on the adjacent strings. With this technique, Anselmo López popularized the bandola nationally and internationally. He recorded several albums. Anselmo Guido Pecorari (born 19 May 1946) is an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church who worked in the diplomatic service of the Holy See from 1980 until he retired in 2021.
