Social Distortion
Social Distortion is an American punk rock band formed in 1978 in Fullerton, California. The band currently consists of Mike Ness (lead vocals, lead guitar), Jonny Wickersham (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Brent Harding (bass, backing vocals), David Hidalgo Jr. (drums), and David Kalish (keyboards). Starting as a hardcore punk band in the late 1970s to the early 1980s, Social Distortion went on a temporary hiatus in the mid-1980s, due to Ness's drug addiction and troubles with the law which resulted in extended stints in various rehabilitation centers that lasted for two years. Following their reformation, the band has shifted its style to a country, blues and early rock and roll-influenced style of punk. Since its inception, the band's lineup has seen significant turnover, with Ness as the only constant member. After years of performing, Social Distortion continues to tour and record music. To date, Social Distortion has released seven full-length studio albums, two co ...

Prison Bound (song)
''Prison Bound'' is the second studio album by Social Distortion, released in 1988. It was the first album with bass guitarist John Maurer and drummer Christopher Reece. It expands the punk rock sound of the band's first album, '' Mommy's Little Monster'' (1983), by adding influences from country music and blues rock. Overview ''Prison Bound'' took almost half a decade to materialize, with the initial attempt to record and release the follow-up to ''Mommy's Little Monster'' dating back to 1984. The album was shelved for a few years and it would not be re-recorded and completed until 1987, following frontman Mike Ness' recovery from drug addiction and Social Distortion's signing to then-independent Restless/Enigma Records. Unlike many of the band's albums, no singles were released for this album, but the title track "Prison Bound" received some heavy rotation from commercial radio stations (particularly KROQ-FM),https://www.rocklists.com/kroq-1988.html and the song's success attra ...

21st Century Breakdown
''21st Century Breakdown'' is the eighth studio album by American rock band Green Day, released on May 15, 2009, through Reprise Records. Green Day commenced work on the record in January 2006 and forty-five songs were written by vocalist/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong by October 2007, but the band members did not enter studio work until January 2008.Fricke, p. 48 The album is a rock opera much like their previous album '' American Idiot'' (2004). Armstrong has described the album as a "snapshot of the era in which we live as we question and try to make sense of the selfish manipulation going on around us, whether it be the government, religion, media or frankly any form of authority". The singles " Know Your Enemy" and " 21 Guns" exemplify the themes of alienation and politically motivated anger present in the record. To handle the record, they turned to producer Butch Vig, best known for producing Nirvana's ''Nevermind'' (1991). Critical response to ''21st Century Breakdown' ...
