''Another Light'' is the fifth studio album of South Korean group Sechs Kies. The album was released on September 21, 2017, by the group's record label, YG Entertainment. It was the last album to feature member Sunghoon before his departure on January 1, 2019, from Sechskies and YG. Background In 2000 Sechs Kies disbanded abruptly, announcing that they wanted to leave when their popularity was at its peak and pursue an ordinary life, three years after they debuted under the management of DSP Entertainment. After signing with YG Entertainment in 2016, Sechs Kies released three new singles and re-released their old hit songs. ''Another Light'' is the band's first studio album in 18 years, following ''Blue Note'', released in May 2000. Sechs Kies
Sechs Kies (pronounced as ; ko, 젝스키스) is a first generation South Korean boy band. Making their debut on April 15, 1997, they are one of the first K-pop idol groups, credited with pioneering the idol scene and fandom culture. The group currently consists of the following active members Eun Ji-won, Lee Jai-jin, Kim Jae-duck, and Jang Su-won. Sechs Kies formally disbanded on May 20, 2000 and re-united on April 14, 2016. On May 10, 2016, they signed a contract with YG Entertainment and continue to promote as a team. Formation Eun Ji-won was scouted at a nightclub by DSP Entertainment's CEO while studying abroad in Hawaii, along with Kang Sung-hoon. ''Inkigayo'' ( ko, 인기가요; English title: ''The Music Trend'', previously ''Popular Song'') is a South Korean music program broadcast by SBS. It airs live every Sunday. The show features some of the latest and most popular artists who perform on stage. It is broadcast from the SBS Open Hall in Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul. History ''Inkigayo'' debuted as ''SBS Popular Song'' in 1991 as a chart show, but was canceled in fall 1993 because it was replaced by TV Gayo 20 (TV 가요20). It was later revived in 1998 with its original title and format. In 2003, the chart format was removed and was replaced by ''Take 7'', where seven of the most popular artists from the week are featured and the most popular artist receives the award for ''Mutizen Song''. Genie Music (), a subsidiary of KT Corporation, is a South Korean company that specializes in the production and distribution of music content. Its music streaming service is the second most used in South Korea with 2.5 million subscribers as of June 2018. Daniel Armand Lee (Korean: Lee Seon-woong; Hangul: 이선웅; born July 22, 1980), better known by his stage name Tablo (Hangul: 타블로), is a Korean-Canadian hip hop recording artist, lyricist, composer and record producer. Tablo is best known as the leader and producer of veteran Korean hip-hop group Epik High, and the founder of independent music label HIGHGRND (High Ground), which housed bands Hyukoh and The Black Skirts. Tablo became employed as a lyricist while still in high school. Under the supervision of Tobias Wolff, Tablo graduated from Stanford University with honors in English literature and creative writing. Eun Ji-won Hangul: 은지원, Hanja: 殷志源, (born June 8, 1978) is a South Korean rapper and entertainer. He is the leader of the first generation idol group Sechs Kies (젝스키스). He is recognized as an ancestor of the K-pop world, paving the way for hip-hop in the Korean pop scene. He is also considered an entertainment icon, popularly known as "Eun Choding" (Elementary Eun) for his childish on-screen persona on ''1 Night 2 Days''. The Gocheok Sky Dome () is a domed baseball stadium located in Gocheok-dong, Seoul, South Korea. It is the home ballpark of KBO League, KBO club Kiwoom Heroes. K-pop
