Tyrone Cannon
Tyrone Douglas Cannon is the Clark L. Hull Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry at Yale University. His research focuses on neurobiological processes underlying psychological phenomena in people with mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Much of his research on schizophrenia and bipolar disorder has focused on developing approaches to prevent these disorders. Vonnie McLoyd
Vonnie Cile McLoyd is an American developmental psychologist known for her research on how poverty, parental job loss, unemployment, and work characteristics affect children's social emotional development. She is the Ewart A. C. Thomas Collegiate Professor of Psychology at the University of Michigan. McLoyd was a 1996 recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship, in recognition of her work on the "interactive influences of race, ethnicity, family, and economic hardship on human development." Life McLoyd completed her undergraduate degree at Talladega College (1971) and her M.A. (1973) and Ph.D. (1975) at the University of Michigan. PsycINFO is a database of abstracts of literature in the field of psychology. It is produced by the American Psychological Association and distributed on the association's APA PsycNET and through third-party vendors. It is the electronic version of the now-ceased ''Psychological Abstracts''. In 2000, it absorbed PsycLIT which had been published on CD-ROM. The Science Citation Index Expanded – previously entitled Science Citation Index – is a citation index originally produced by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) and created by Eugene Garfield. Scopus is Elsevier's abstract and citation database launched in 2004. Scopus covers nearly 36,377 titles (22,794 active titles and 13,583 inactive titles) from approximately 11,678 publishers, of which 34,346 are peer-reviewed journals in top-level subject fields: life sciences, social sciences, physical sciences and health sciences.
