Anno Saul
Anno Saul (born 14 November 1963) is a German screenwriter and film director. Biography Born in Bonn, West Germany, the son of a physician, Saul studied at the Peter-Joerres-Gymnasium in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler and afterwards, graduating from the Munich School of Philosophy, and then, from 1985 to 1990, filmed a feature film at the University of Television and Film Munich. In 1987, he created a Bayerischer Rundfunk teleplay. In 1991, Saul received the Max Ophüls film festival prize with the film ''Unter Freunden''. After several television films, he filmed his feature film debut, ''Grüne Wüste'' ("Green Desert"), in 1998 with Martina Gedeck. After his television film ''Novizin'', he directed his second feature film, ''Kebab Connection'', based on a book by Fatih Akin, Ruth Thoma and Jan Berger. Jessica Schwarz
Jessica Schwarz (born 5 May 1977) is a German film and TV actress. Life and career Schwarz was born in Erbach im Odenwald and grew up in the small town of Michelstadt, Germany. She won a contest of the German teen magazine Bravo (magazine), ''Bravo'' in 1993. Subsequently, she worked as a model (profession), model and VJ (media personality), VJ for the music channel VIVA (TV station), VIVA. The Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF), previously named Brussels International Festival of Fantastic Film (french: Festival international du film fantastique de Bruxelles, nl, Internationaal Festival van de Fantastische Film van Brussel) was created in 1983 as a venue for horror, thriller and science fiction films. The Deutsche Filmakademie is an independently run organization with a focus on filmmaking in Germany. It was founded in 2003 in Berlin as a way to provide native filmmakers a forum for discussion and a way to promote the reputation of German cinema through publications, presentations, discussions, and regular promotion of the subject in schools. Since 2005, the winners of the Deutscher Filmpreis (colloquially known as the Lolas) are elected by the members of the Deutsche Filmakademie.
