Annina Enckell
Annina Enckell (born 19 September 1957) is a Finnish award-winning playwright and screenwriter. Annina Enckell has written plays, radio plays, and TV- and feature film screenplays for children and adults in Swedish and Finnish. She is a screenwriter on the ''Moomins on the Riviera ''Moomins on the Riviera'' (Finnish title: ''Muumit Rivieralla'') is a 2014 Finnish-French animated family comedy film directed by Xavier Picard and produced by Hanna Hemilä, who is also co-director. The film is based on ''Moomin'' comic strips ...'' feature film. She received an award for “De bäst anpassade” at Svenska Teatern, the Swedish National Theatre in Helsinki, and for the feature film ''Iris'' (directed by Ulrika Bengts), selected the best film at Oulu International Children's and Youth Film Festival (2011). A playwright or dramatist is a person who writes plays. Etymology The word "play" is from Middle English pleye, from Old English plæġ, pleġa, plæġa ("play, exercise; sport, game; drama, applause"). The word "wright" is an archaic English term for a craftsman or builder (as in a wheelwright or cartwright). Svenska Teatern
The Swedish Theatre ( sv, Svenska Teatern) is a Swedish-language theatre in Helsinki, Finland, and is located at the Erottaja ( sv, Skillnaden) square, at the end of Esplanadi ( sv, Esplanaden). It was the first national stage of Finland. History The first theatre in Helsinki, ''Engels Teater'', was completed in 1827. The wooden building designed by architect Carl Ludvig Engel was located in the corner of Mikaelsgatan and Esplanaden. At the time the theatre was opened it had no permanent actors and many of the actors who performed in the theatre during that time were en route to Saint Petersburg. The theatre designed by Engel soon became too small as the interest in theatre grew rapidly among the citizens of Helsinki. The new theatre building was opened on 28 November 1860. The new building, which was designed by Georg Theodor von Chiewitz, was built on Skillnaden, on the same site as the current Svenska Teatern. Oulu International Children's And Youth Film Festival
Oulu International Children's and Youth Film Festival ( fi, Oulun kansainvälinen lasten- ja nuortenelokuvien festivaali) is an annual children's film festival held in November in Oulu, Finland. The festival has been founded in 1982 by the Oulu Film Centre. There has been Children's Film competition at the festival since 1992. The jury of ten children chooses the best film and the Starboy Award is granted to the director of the film.
