Annica Sjölund
Annica Maria Sjölund (born 31 March 1985) is a Finnish football striker, who last played for Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC of Sweden's Damallsvenskan. She previously played for FC United Pietarsaari and Åland United in Finland's Naisten Liiga and Jitex BK, Älvsjö AIK and AIK in Sweden. Club career In August 2012 Sjölund sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury while playing for Jitex in a match against Örebro. Sjölund left Jitex after the 2013 Damallsvenskan season. She was wanted by former club Åland United, but decided to stay in Sweden with Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC. International career She is a member of the Finnish national team; scoring on her debut against Belgium in May 2006. Daniel Sjölund
Henrik Daniel "Daja" Sjölund (born 22 April 1983) is a Finnish former footballer who played as a midfielder. He is best remembered for his stints with Djurgårdens IF and IFK Norrköping. He won 37 caps for the Finland national team. Career Daniel Sjölund was born in the municipality of Finström, based in Åland which is a Swedish-speaking autonomous region that belongs to Finland. Sjölund started his career at IF Finströms Kamraterna, when he was a child. Afterwards he went to IFK Mariehamn and IF Brommapojkarna, before being signed by West Ham at the age of just 16, after impressive displays for Finland's youth teams. Football At The Island Games
Football has been a regular event since 1989 at the Island Games, the biennial multi-sports event for island nations, territories and dependencies. A 5-a-side competition for under-16s was held at the inaugural event on the Isle of Man, and the success this minor competition brought to the games meant senior men's football was included on the itinerary for the first time in the Faroe Islands, in 1989. Women's football was included on the games' schedule for the first time in 2001. Over the years, the competition has grown in stature, becoming one of the most important competitions for 'national' teams in non-FIFA football, and has grown from a five-team round robin competition to a 16-team tournament. Andrée Alexander Jeglertz (born 14 February 1972) is a Swedish football manager and former professional player. He was an assistant coach for the Canadian women's national team before he joined Linköpings FC for the 2021 Damallsvenskan season. Career Playing career A defender, Jeglertz played 25 games in the Allsvenskan for Malmö FF and also played club football for IFK Trelleborg, Umeå FC, IFK Hasselholm and Gimonäs CK.
