Anne Rasmussen (politician)
Anne Rasmussen (born 14 April 1971) is a Danish politician, who is a member of the Folketing for the Venstre political party. She entered parliament on 12 August 2021 as a replacement for Tommy Ahlers after he resigned his seat. Political career Rasmussen ran in the 2019 Danish general election General elections were held in the Kingdom of Denmark on 5 June 2019 to elect all 179 members of the Folketing; 175 in Denmark proper, two in the Faroe Islands and two in Greenland. The elections took place ten days after the European Parliament ..., where she received 545 votes. This was not enough for her to get elected, but she got listed 3rd on the substitute list for Venstre in the Copenhagen constituency. When Tommy Ahlers resigned his parliamentary seat on 12 August 2021, the 1st and 2nd substitutes were initially called upon to replace him in parliament. Folketing
The Folketing ( da, Folketinget, ; ), also known as the Parliament of Denmark or the Danish Parliament in English, is the unicameral national legislature (parliament) of the Kingdom of Denmark—Denmark proper together with the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Zealand ( da, Sjælland) is one of the 12 multi-member constituencies of the Folketing, the national legislature of Denmark. The constituency was established in 2007 following the public administration structural reform. Tommy Ahlers
Tommy Ahlers (born 18 November 1975 in Haderslev) is a Danish former businessman and politician who was a member of the Folketing for the Venstre political party from 2015 to 2021. He was the Minister of Science, Technology, Information and Higher Education in the Lars Løkke Rasmussen III Cabinet. Biography Ahlers is best known for the social networking and mobile backup site ZYB, launched in 2005 by two entrepreneurs from Copenhagen, Morten Lund and Ole Kristensen, and sold to Vodafone Europe BV for nearly $50m in May 2008. Before ZYB, where he has held the position of CEO since the company's inception, Ahlers spent six years in strategy and management, partly in the mobile industry.
