Anne Helin
Anne Helin (born 28 January 1987) is a Finnish retired ice hockey player and former member of the Finnish national ice hockey team. Representing Finland, she won a bronze medal in the women's ice hockey tournament at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, three IIHF Women's World Championship bronze medals at the tournaments in 2008, 2009, and 2011, and a silver medal in the women's ice hockey tournament at the 2011 Winter Universiade in Erzurum, Turkey. Playing career Helin debuted in the Naisten SM-sarja, the Finnish Championship league for women's ice hockey, at age 12 in the 1999–2000 season. She played with the women's representative team of Karhu-Kissat (K-Kissat) during 1999 to 2002 and was the team's regular season leading scorer in 2000–01 and 2001–02. Riikka Nieminen Award
The Riikka Nieminen Award () is an ice hockey trophy, seasonally awarded by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association to the Naisten Liiga Player of the Year. It is named after Riikka Sallinen (née Nieminen), now retired, who is widely considered the best European women’s ice hockey player to ever compete internationally. The trophy was first awarded for the 2008–09 season and Michelle Karvinen of the Espoo Blues was the first recipient. Jenni Hiirikoski is the only defenceman to ever win the trophy and holds the record for most wins, with five. Elisa Holopainen is the only other player to have claimed the trophy more than once, winning it in the 2018–19 season, 2020–21 season, 2022–23 season, and 2023–24 season. Katja Riipi Award
The Katja Riipi Award () is an ice hockey trophy, seasonally awarded by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association to the best forward of the Naisten Liiga, previously the ''Naisten SM-sarja''. Best forward in the Naisten Liiga was first awarded in the 2005–06 season, to Saara Niemi (). The award was named in honor of Katja Riipi during the 2010–11 season. Ten players have won the award and, of the ten, three have won it more than once. Young phenom Elisa Holopainen, a left winger, is the current title holder and has won the award in each of the past five seasons, making her the first player to win the award more than two consecutive times.
