Anne Genetet
Anne Genetet (born 20 April 1963) is a French medical doctor and politician who has represented the 11th constituency for French residents overseas in the National Assembly since the 2017 legislative election. She is a member of Renaissance (RE), formerly the La République en Marche! (LREM). Early career In 2005, Genetet moved to Singapore with her husband and four sons. She subsequently founded the Help Agency, a consultancy to advise maids and their employers on health and legal matters. She also worked with non-governmental organizations on maid issues. Political career In parliament, Genetet serves on the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Parliamentary Office for the Evaluation of Scientific and Technological Choices (OPECST). In addition to her committee assignments, she chairs the French-Iranian Parliamentary Friendship Group. Comprehensive Economic And Trade Agreement
The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) is a free-trade agreement between Canada and the European Union and its member states. It has been provisionally applied, thus removing 98% of the preexisting tariffs between the two parts. The negotiations were concluded in August 2014. All 27 European Union member states and former member state United Kingdom approved the final text of CETA for signature, with Belgium being the final country to give its approval. Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, travelled to Brussels on 30 October 2016 to sign on behalf of Canada. The European Parliament approved the deal on 15 February 2017.
