Anne Clark (netball)
Anne Evelyn Clark was an Australian netball administrator, umpire and coach. Between 1950 and 1979 she served as President of the New South Wales Women's Basketball Association. Between 1955 and 1978, she also served five terms as President of the All Australia Netball Association. Clark umpired at the 1967 and 1975 World Netball Championships. In 1975 she was awarded the British Empire Medal and in 2009 was inducted into the Australian Netball Hall of Fame. Clark died on 12 June 1983 in Singapore while attending the 1983 World Netball Championships. She was cremated in Sydney. Early life, family and employment Clark was born on 16 August 1903 in Waterloo, Sydney. She was the third of five children. Her parents were George Cornelius Clark, a sewerage labourer, and his wife Martha (née Doidge). They were both originally from Victoria. Netball New South Wales is the governing body for netball in New South Wales. It is affiliated to Netball Australia. It is responsible for organizing and managing two elite level teams, New South Wales Swifts and Giants Netball, who compete in Suncorp Super Netball. It is also responsible for organizing and managing the Netball NSW Premier League as well as numerous other leagues and competitions for junior and youth teams. Women's Auxiliary Australian Air Force
The Women's Auxiliary Australian Air Force (WAAAF) was formed in March 1941 after considerable lobbying by women keen to serve, as well as by the Chief of the Air Staff, who wanted to release male personnel serving in Australia for service overseas. The WAAAF was the first and largest of the wartime Australian women's services. It was disbanded in December 1947. The New Zealand national netball team, commonly known as the Silver Ferns, represent New Zealand in international netball. The team take their nickname from the Silver Tree Fern (''Cyathea dealbata''), which is an emblem for many New Zealand sports teams. Netball Central, Sydney Olympic Park
Netball Central is an Australian netball venue located in Sydney Olympic Park, New South Wales. Between 2016 and 2018, due to a naming rights arrangement, it was known as the Genea Netball Centre. The venue is owned by Netball New South Wales. It serves as their headquarters and as the main training base for New South Wales Swifts and Giants Netball.
