Anne Benjaminsen
Anne Benjaminsen (; born 25 March 1964) is a Finnish ski-orienteering competitor and World Champion. She participated at the 1988 World Ski Orienteering Championships in Kuopio, and won a gold medal in the ''relay'' with the Finnish team, with the teammates Sirpa Kukkonen and Virpi Juutilainen. She placed fifth in the ''classic distance'', and eight in the ''short distance''. Personal life Benjaminsen is married to Norwegian orienteer Vidar Benjaminsen. Norwegian figure skater Juni Marie Benjaminsen and Norwegian orienteer Andrine Benjaminsen are their children. Ski-orienteering
Ski orienteering (SkiO) is a cross-country skiing (sport), cross-country skiing endurance Winter sport, winter racing sport and one of the four orienteering disciplines Sport governing body, recognized by the International Orienteering Federation, IOF. A successful ski orienteer combines high physical endurance, strength and excellent technical skiing skills with the ability to navigate and make the best route choices while skiing at a high speed. Standard orienteering maps are commonly used, but since 2019, a separate mapping standard ISSkiOM has been produced which recommends a subset of the symbols used in other disciplines. Ski-orienteering maps uses green symbols to indicate trails and tracks and different symbols to indicate their navigability in snow; other symbols indicate whether any roads are snow-covered or clear. Andrine Benjaminsen
Andrine Benjaminsen (born 23 August 1995) is a Norwegian Orienteering, orienteer and ski orienteering, ski orienteer. Career Benjaminsen represented Norway at the 2017 World Orienteering Championships in Tartu, Estonia, where her best result was ninth place in the long distance. In ski orienteering, she won a bronze medal at the 2013 and 2015 Junior World Ski Orienteering Championships, Junior World Championships. At the 2021 European Orienteering Championships she won a bronze medal in the Knock-out sprint, and a bronze medal in the Sprint relay with the Norwegian team. At the 2021 World Orienteering Championships in the Czech Republic, she placed 10th in the sprint. She won a silver medal in the mixed sprint relay with the Norwegian team, after a close fight with Swiss Elena Roos on the last leg. Female Orienteers
Female (symbol: ♀) is the sex of an organism that produces the large non-motile ova (egg cells), the type of gamete (sex cell) that fuses with the male gamete during sexual reproduction. A female has larger gametes than a male. Females and males are results of the anisogamous reproduction system, wherein gametes are of different sizes, unlike isogamy where they are the same size. The exact mechanism of female gamete evolution remains unknown. In species that have males and females, sex-determination may be based on either sex chromosomes, or environmental conditions. Most female mammals, including female humans, have two X chromosomes. Female characteristics vary between different species with some species having pronounced secondary female sex characteristics, such as the presence of pronounced mammary glands in mammals. ''Nettavisen'' is a Norwegian online newspaper, launched in 1996 as the first online-only newspaper in Norway. The current editor is Gunnar Stavrum. As of 2015 it was one of Norway's most popular news websites. Juni Marie Benjaminsen (born 21 March 1999) is a Norwegian former competitive figure skater. In 2015, she became the first Norwegian ladies' skater in 16 years to advance to the free skate at the World Junior Figure Skating Championships, World Junior Championships.
