Duke Worne
Howard "Duke" Worne (December 14, 1888 – October 13, 1933) was an American film director, director and actor of the silent film, silent era. He directed more than 70 films between 1919 and 1931. He also appeared in 27 films between 1914 and 1928. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and died in Los Angeles, California. In 1930, Worne married silent film actress Virginia Brown Faire, to whom he remained married until his death three years later in 1933. Rayart Pictures Films
Rayart Pictures was one of the early film production and distribution companies operating independently of the major Hollywood studios in the United States during the later silent film era from the mid-to-late 1920s and into the early "talkies" era of early films with sound in the late 1920s and early 1930s. It established its own distribution network, specialising in westerns. It was begun by W. Ray Johnston in 1924, after whom the company was named. It was originally created as a low budget release agent, and like the other so-called Poverty Row studios, was based in a small plot off Sunset Strip, by Gower Street. An early Poverty Row studio, it was a forerunner of Monogram Pictures, whom was also founded by W. Ray Johnston. Henry Roquemore (March 18, 1886 – June 30, 1943) was an American character actor who primarily played bit parts. He appeared in 229 silent and sound films from 1927 until 1943. Many of his roles were uncredited parts in Western movies, but he also appeared in major films including ''Meet John Doe'', ''The Little Foxes'', ''The Magnificent Ambersons'', and the Marx Brothers film ''Yours for the Asking''. Arthur Hoerl
Arthur Hoerl (December 17, 1891 – February 6, 1968) was an American screenwriter and film director. Hoerl was born in New York, son of Louis Hoerl, a German immigrant silver polisher, and Teresa Hoerl. Arthur completed three years of high school, according to the 1940 US Census. He wrote for 150 films between 1921 and 1968. One of his best known credits is co-writer for the film ''Tell Your Children'' (1936) which is now known as ''Reefer Madness''. For Broadway, 1932, he wrote the play ''A Few Wild Oats.'' He also directed four films between 1932 and 1934. Hoerl died in Hollywood, California. Billy Franey
William Gerald Franey (June 23, 1889 – December 6, 1940) was an American film actor. Born in Chicago in 1889, Franey appeared in more than 400 films between 1914 and 1941, mostly playing comedic roles. He was an actor of disheveled appearance and fuzzy mustache, usually in a suit a couple of sizes too big. His late career included numerous uncredited appearances in classics like ''Bringing Up Baby'', and he also appeared as the father-in-law of Edgar Kennedy in several of his series of short comedies.
