Personal life Anne-Sophie Vanden Borre is the younger sister of Stéphanie Vanden Borre, a member of the Belgium national team. Career Club hockey In the Belgian Hockey League, Englebert plays club hockey for the Gantoise. National teams Under–18 In 2018, Vanden Borre was a member of the Belgium U–18 team at the EuroHockey Youth Championship in Santander. At the tournament, Belgium finished in second place, taking home silver. Under–21 Following her debut for the Under–18 side in 2018, Vanden Borre appeared in the national Under–21 side in 2019. Women's FIH Pro League
The Women's FIH Pro League is an international women's field hockey competition organised by the International Hockey Federation (FIH), which replaces the Women's FIH Hockey World League. The competition also serves as a qualifier for the Hockey World Cup and the Olympic Games. The first edition was started in 2019. Nine teams secured their places for four years. Format Nine teams will compete in a round-robin tournament with home and away matches, played from January to June, with the top four teams advancing to the grand final at a pre-determined location. 2021 Women's FIH Junior World Cup
The 2022 Women's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup is the ninth edition of the Women's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup, the biennial women's under-21 field hockey world championship organized by the International Hockey Federation. It was scheduled to be held from 5 to 16 December 2021 in Potchefstroom, South Africa. Because of a new COVID-19 variant, the tournament was put on hold on 26 November 2021 and later postponed, with the option to be hosted by South Africa. On 10 January 2022 it was announced the tournament will take place from 2 to 13 April 2022 at the original venue. In February the tournament was moved one day forward to start on 1 and end on 12 April 2022. Argentina were the defending champions. They were defeated 4–1 in the quarter-finals by Germany. Women's Belgian Hockey League
The Women's Belgian Hockey League is the top women's league competition for field hockey clubs in Belgium. The league is played since the 1921–22 season. Gantoise are the most recent champions having won their fifth title in the 2022–23 season. Format The season usually starts in September and ends around the end of April or the beginning of May. From the 2021–22 season onwards the league is played by twelve teams who play each other twice and who compete for four spots in the championship play-offs. The number one and four and the number two and three play each other in the semi-final and the winners qualify for the final where the winner will be crowned champion. The last two teams are relegated to the National 1 and the tenth placed team plays a relegation play-off against the third-placed team in the second division.
