Anne-Marie Nzié (1932 – 24 May 2016) was a Cameroonian bikutsi singer. Biography Anne-Marie Nzié was born in Bibia, Lolodorf, Cameroon, in 1932."Rest In Peace" , God's Jukebox, 21 June 2016. Her father was a guitarist and at the age of eight she began singing in a church choir in the village where he was a pastor. In the 1940s, Nzié began performing , the music native to her home in central Cameroon. Cameroon

Coco Mbassi
Coco Mbassi (born 28 February 1969) is a musical artist originating from Cameroon, born in Paris, France, and based in London, UK. Winner of the Radio France Internationale Découvertes Prize in 1996 with the song "Muenge Mwa Ndolo", she toured worldwide and her first album, ''Sepia'', was released in 2001. This album was nominated in 2002 for the BBC Radio 3 World Music Awards, and won the German World Music CD Critics' Awards. Her second album ''Sisea'' was released in 2003. After touring, she released a live tour DVD, ''Coco Mbassi Tour''. Prior to her solo career, she sang with various artists as a backing vocalist, live or in recording sessions (including with Salif Keita, the jazz band Sixun, Toure Kunda, Ray Lema)., and Manu Dibango. Bikutsi
Bikutsi is a musical genre from Cameroon. It developed from the traditional styles of the Beti, or Ewondo, people, who live around the city of Yaoundé. It was popular in the middle of the 20th century in West Africa. It is primarily dance music. Etymology The word 'bikutsi' literally means 'beat the earth' or 'let's beat the earth' (''bi''- indicates a plural, -''kut''- means 'to beat' and -''chi'' means 'earth'.) The name indicates a dance that is accompanied by stomping the feet on the ground.
