Annabel Sutherland
Annabel Sutherland (born 12 October 2001) is an Australian cricketer who plays for the Australia national women's cricket team, national cricket team as an all-rounder. At the domestic level, she plays for Victoria women's cricket team, Victoria in the Women's National Cricket League and the Melbourne Stars (WBBL), Melbourne Stars in the Women's Big Bash League. Career Domestic career She made her debut for the Melbourne Renegades (WBBL), Melbourne Renegades as a 15 year old, and at the time of her debut she was the youngest player to feature in the Big Bash. She has also played for the Australian under 15 and under 19 cricket teams. In April 2019, Cricket Australia awarded her with a contract with the National Performance Squad ahead of the 2019–20 season. Melbourne Stars (WBBL)
The Melbourne Stars (WBBL) are an Australian women's Twenty20 cricket team based in St Kilda, Victoria. They are one of two teams from Melbourne to compete in the Women's Big Bash League, the other being the Melbourne Renegades. To date, the Stars' best performance occurred in WBBL06 when they ended the regular season as minor premiers before ultimately finishing as runners-up. The New Zealand women's cricket team played against Australia women's cricket team in September 2020 and October 2020. The tour consisted of three Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs) and three Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is). The England women's cricket team represents England and Wales in international women's cricket. Since 1998, they have been governed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), having been previously governed by the Women's Cricket Association. 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup
The 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup was the seventh ICC Women's T20 World Cup tournament. It was held in Australia between 21 February and 8 March 2020. The final took place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on International Women's Day. Hosts Australia won the tournament, beating India by 85 runs, to win their fifth title. It was a standalone tournament, the men's tournament was initially held eight months ahead of the schedule, but would be postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 2020 Australia Women's Tri-Nation Series
The 2020 Australia women's Tri-Nation Series was a cricket tournament that took place in Australia in January and February 2020. It was a tri-nation series between Australia women, England women and the India women cricket teams, with the matches played as Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) fixtures. All three teams used the series as their final warm-up ahead of the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup. Ahead of the fifth match of the series, the Australian team were presented with the ICC Women's Championship trophy, after winning the 2017–20 ICC Women's Championship tournament. The Hundred is a professional franchise 100-ball cricket tournament involving eight men's and eight women's teams located in major cities across England and Wales. The tournament is run by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and took place for the first time in July and August 2021. The 2022 season of The Hundred will be the second season of The Hundred, a professional franchise 100-ball cricket tournament involving eight men's and women's teams located in major cities across England and Wales.
