Anna Nagar West ( ta, அண்ணா நகர் மேற்கு) is a township in Chennai, India. It is the western part of Anna Nagar and is one of the most socially active locations in Chennai. The area serves as a major transport and residential hub within the city. It is also connected by the contemporary metro rail system. The region contains several schools and hospitals. It is mostly a public service concentrated hub located in a residential area. Millennium Park is the largest park within the region. It has a bus terminus belonging to the Metropolitan Transport Corporation. Padi, Chennai
Padi () is a locality and neighbourhood in the city of Chennai, India. It was named after Nayanmars, Especially Sundarar, (Tamil saints) came to Padi and sang songs in the Lord Shiva Temple (Tiruvalleeswarar Temple). Padi Junction
The Padi Lucas Junction is the intersection of NH 205 ( Madras-Tiruvallur High Road) and Inner Ring Road in the city of Chennai and is one of the most important junctions in the city. It is located in Anna Nagar north of Koyambedu Junction. An elevated rotary has been constructed at this junction as part of the NHDP by NHAI to ease the traffic congestion. It was built at a cost of 1,300 million and was opened for traffic on 20 February 2009. Grade separator The junction is used by hundreds of heavy vehicles and the road has a traffic density of about 200,000 passenger car units daily. As of 2014, more than 70,000 vehicles use the Padi flyover every day. To ease the congestion, the NHAI has constructed an elevated four-lane rotary at the junction. Villivakkam railway station is a railway station on the Chennai Central–Arakkonam section of the Chennai Suburban Railway Network a city of Chennai in India. Chennai Beach (formerly known as Madras Beach) (station code: MSB) is a railway terminus of the Southern Railway network in Parry's Corner, Chennai, India. Built on reclaimed land, the station serves the suburban services of the Chennai Suburban Railway and Mass Rapid Transit System (Chennai) and a few passenger trains. Thirumangalam Metro Station
Thirumangalam metro station is a Metro railway station on the Line 2 of the Chennai Metro. The station is among the underground stations coming up along corridor II of the Chennai Metro through Anna Nagar stretch. The station will serve the neighbourhoods where the old village of Thirumangalam once stood and now the area where the Thirumangalam Flyover, a prominent landmark and referred to by residents when giving directions. Anna Nagar railway station is one of the two, now defunct, railway stations of the extended southern arm of the Chennai Central–Arakkonam section of the Chennai Suburban Railway Network, the other being Padi railway station.
