''Anna Maria – Eine Frau geht ihren Weg'' (Anna Maria – A Woman Follows Her Path) was a German drama television series broadcast between 1994 and 1997 on Sat.1 in 29 episodes. Uschi Glas provided a summary by the series, and claimed to have written the screenplay. The series revolved around Uschi Glas, playing an energetic widow of a gravel pit owner Hannes Seeberger (Michael Degen) who is forced to bring up her children Patricia and Manuel alone and face bankruptcy with her husband's company. Uschi Glas
Helga Ursula "Uschi" Glas (; born 2 March 1944), sometimes credited as Ursula Glas, is a German actress in film, television and on stage, and a singer. Biography Born in Landau an der Isar, Bavaria, Glas started appearing in films in 1965. Her breakthrough role was that of Barbara in the unconventional 1968 movie ''Go for It, Baby'' (''Zur Sache, Schätzchen''), which captured the spirit of the times in that it presented youthful protest against the German establishment and hinted at the loosening of morals in the wake of the sexual revolution. From then on, the tabloid press would refer to Glas frequently as ''Schätzchen'' (). In the late '60s and early '70s, Glas appeared in many slapstick movies, notably in three films of the seven-part series (1967–72) ' (''The Brats on the Front Bench Row''). Ruth Hausmeister
Ruth Hausmeister (5 June 1912 – 1 February 2012) was a German actress whose career, centered primarily in theater, spanned decades. She also had more than eighty credits in German film and television as well. Her film credits included '' The Longest Day'' and ''Die Brücke''. Her television credits included '' Der Kommissar'' and '' Stahlnetz'', a detective series. Her last television role was in the 1990s ZDF television series, ''Zwei Brüder'', in which she played the mother of actors Fritz Wepper and Elmar Wepper. Hausmeister died on 1 February 2012 in Munich at the age of 99.
