Anna Lanning
Anna Jane Lanning (born 25 March 1994) is an Australian cricketer who plays as a right-handed batter and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler. She has played for Warwickshire, the ACT Meteors, the Melbourne Renegades, Victoria and the Melbourne Stars. She plays club cricket for Box Hill. Lanning is the younger sister of Australian cricket captain Meg Lanning. Lanning scored 73 in a player of the match performance on debut for the Renegades in the 2019–20 WBBL season. Wahroonga is a suburb in the Upper North Shore of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia, 18 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government areas of Ku-ring-gai Council and Hornsby Shire. Bowling, in cricket, is the action of propelling the ball toward the wicket defended by a batter. A player skilled at bowling is called a ''bowler''; a bowler who is also a competent batter is known as an all-rounder. Melbourne Renegades are an Australian professional men's Twenty20 franchise cricket club based in Melbourne, the capital city of the Australian state of Victoria. The 2019–20 Women's Big Bash League season or WBBL, 05 was the fifth season of the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL), the semi-professional women's Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Australia. The tournament moved to a standalone calendar slot, shifting away from the men's BBL, beginning on 18 October and running to 8 December 2019.
