Anna Korsun ( uk, Анна Корсун, italic=no, born 1986) is a Ukrainian singer, pianist, organist, conductor, composer and academic teacher, based in Germany. Her works have been performed at major European festivals. Life Born in Donetsk, Korsun studied at the Kyiv Conservatory from 2005 to 2009, graduating as a bachelor of arts, and at the Musikhochschule München with Moritz Eggert from 2010 to 2012, completing as a Master of Arts. She has performed as a vocalist, pianist, organist and conductor. Her compositions explore the human voice and traditional instruments in connection with electronic means. She has used elements of theatre, video and choreography in her works. She co-organised concert series such as Evening of Low Music in Munich, 6+1 of vocal music in Moscow and Kyiv, and Ereignishorizont, of organ music, in Cologne. Hanna Borysivna Korsun ( uk, Ганна Борисівна Корсун; , uk, Попелюх; born 15 February 1991), known professionally as Maruv (stylized in all caps), is a Ukrainian singer. She used to be part of the band Maruv from February 2017 to March 2018. It was the successor of the band The Pringlez. Later, Korsun gave an interview in which she explained that from then on she would be working on her own under the pseudonym. Alte Oper (Old Opera) is a concert hall in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, Germany. It is located in the inner city, Innenstadt, within the banking district Bankenviertel. Today's Alte Oper was built in 1880 as the city's opera house, which was destroyed by bombs in 1944. It was rebuilt in the 1970s as a concert hall with a large hall and smaller venues, opened in 1981. The square in front of the building is still known as Opernplatz (Opera Square). A musical saw, also called a singing saw, is a hand saw used as a musical instrument. Capable of continuous glissando (portamento), the sound creates an ethereal tone, very similar to the theremin. The musical saw is classified as a plaque friction idiophone with direct friction (132.22) under the Hornbostel-Sachs system of musical instrument classification, and as a metal sheet played by friction (151) under the revision of the Hornbostel-Sachs classification by the MIMO Consortium.
