Anna Iwaszkiewicz
Anna Iwaszkiewicz, (pen name: Adam Podkowiński, 17 December 1897 – 23 December 1979), was a Polish People, Polish writer and translator, wife of the writer Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz. For her role in Rescue of Jews during the Holocaust, rescuing Jews during World War II, she and her husband were honored with the award of Righteous Among the Nations. Biography Early years When Anna was four years old, her mother Jadwiga Stankiewicz left her and her father, wealthy industrialist Stanisław Wilhelm Lilpop, for the pianist Józef Śliwiński. From then on, her father and aunt Aniela Pilawitz brought her up, while her mother was denied any contact with Anna. From 1915 to 1918, she stayed with her father in Russia, particularly in Moscow and Kiev. Her time in Russia contributed to the formation of her literary talent as she studied at the Moscow Polish University, learned foreign languages, and became interested in music and theater. Brwinów
Brwinów is a town in Pruszków County, Masovian Voivodeship, Poland, about from the centre of Warsaw. As of December 2021, the town has a population of 13,718. Until 1954 Brwinów was the location of the Helenów parish council and between 1917 and 1949 it was also Letnisko-Brwinów's major town. Between 1975 and 1998 Brwinów belonged to Warsaw Voivodeship. The town is located on the Łowicz–Błonie plains. April 13, 2014 host Warsaw Eagles - Angels Toruń exhibition football game. Brwinów is served by the Brwinów Railway Station.
