Anna Asp
Anna Asp (born 16 May 1946) is a Swedish production designer and Art director#In film, art director. She studied at Christer Strömholms School of Photography and then at Dramatiska Institutet in Stockholm in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Over the course of her career Asp has collaborated on films with directors Ingmar Bergman, Andrei Tarkovsky, Bille August and Woody Allen, among others. She won the Academy Award for Best Production Design, Academy Award for Best Art Direction in 56th Academy Awards, 1983 for her work in ''Fanny and Alexander''. At the 28th Guldbagge Awards she won the Creative Achievement award. In addition, Asp has worked in theater and television production, including the Swedish TV series Wallander (Swedish TV series), Wallander. Asp won the Swedish Union for Performing Arts and Film gold medal in 2008 for her "outstanding artistic work." Academy Award For Best Production Design
The Academy Award for Best Production Design recognizes achievement for art direction in film. The category's original name was Best Art Direction, but was changed to its current name in 2012 for the 85th Academy Awards. This change resulted from the Art Directors' branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) being renamed the Designers' branch. Since 1947, the award is shared with the set decorator(s). It is awarded to the best interior design in a film. Wallander (Swedish TV Series)
''Wallander'' () is a Swedish television series adapted from Henning Mankell's Kurt Wallander novels, starring Krister Henriksson in the title role. The first season of thirteen films was produced in 2005 and 2006, with one taken directly from a novel and the remainder with new storylines suggested by Mankell. The second season of thirteen films was shown between 2009 and 2010. The stories are set in Ystad, Skåne near the southern tip of Sweden. The three films ''Before the Frost'' (#1), ''Mastermind'' (#6), and ''The Secret'' (#13) were premiered in cinemas, with the rest first released as direct-to-DVD movies. ''Fanny and Alexander'' ( sv, Fanny och Alexander) is a 1982 period drama film written and directed by Ingmar Bergman. The plot focuses on two siblings and their large family in Uppsala, Sweden during the first decade of the twentieth century. Following the death of the children's father ( Allan Edwall), their mother (Ewa Fröling) remarries a prominent bishop (Jan Malmsjö) who becomes abusive towards Alexander for his vivid imagination. Bergman intended ''Fanny and Alexander'' to be his final picture before retiring, and his script is semi-autobiographical. The characters Alexander, Fanny and stepfather Edvard are based on himself, his sister Margareta and his father Erik Bergman, respectively. Many of the scenes were filmed on location in Uppsala. Heywood "Woody" Allen (born Allan Stewart Konigsberg; November 30, 1935) is an American film director, writer, actor, and comedian whose career spans more than six decades and multiple Academy Award-winning films. He began his career writing material for television in the 1950s, mainly ''Your Show of Shows'' (1950–1954) working alongside Mel Brooks, Carl Reiner, Larry Gelbart, and Neil Simon.
