Ann Hamilton (artist)
Ann Hamilton is a visual artist who emerged in the early 1980s known for her large-scale multimedia installations. After receiving her BFA in textile design from the University of Kansas in 1979, she lived in Banff, Alberta, and Montreal, Quebec, Canada before deciding to pursue an MFA in sculpture at Yale in 1983. From 1985 to 1991, she taught on the faculty of the University of California at Santa Barbara. Since 2001, Hamilton has served on the faculty of the Department of Art at the Ohio State University. She was appointed a Distinguished University Professor in 2011. Personal life Ann Hamilton was born in Lima, Ohio.. She attended St. Lawrence University from 1974–1976; University of Kansas, BFA in Textile Design, 1979; Yale School of Art, MFA in Sculpture, 1985. Ann Hamilton (British Actress)
Ann Hamilton (born 5 July 1939) is an English actress, best known for her numerous appearances with the comedians Morecambe & Wise. Biography Hamilton was born in Orsett, Essex. She began dance classes at the age of three, and attended ballet school. Her first job, at 18, was as a dancer at the Windmill Theatre. She married the theatre director Tony Clayton in 1959, and moved into stage acting, appearing in ''How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying'' in the West End in 1963, and ''Wind In The Sassafras Trees'' five years later. She also worked with the comics Roy Hudd, Ken Dodd, and Bruce Forsyth — whose writers Dick Hills and Sid Green recommended her to Morecambe & Wise. Hamilton first appeared in their ATV show '' Two of a Kind'' in 1966, and became a regular cast member. Ann Lewis Hamilton is an American television producer and writer. She worked in both capacities on ''Thirtysomething''. She was nominated for two Emmy Awards in 1991 for her work on the show; one for Outstanding Drama Series and one for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series for her episode "Second Look". She was awarded a Humanitas Prize for her work on the show that year. She went on to work on ''Party of Five'' and ''One Tree Hill''. She wrote for ''Providence'' and co-wrote episodes of the series with Jennifer M. Johnson. She eventually became a consulting producer for the first season of ''Grey's Anatomy'' and won a WGA Award for best new series for her work on the show.
