Anlaug Amanda Djupvik
Anlaug Amanda Djupvik is a Norwegian astronomer. Her main field of research is star formation and the origin of the initial mass function. She used Kaas as a family name (due to marriage), but changed it back to Djupvik in 2004. She was born in Førde a small town on the west coast of Norway. She grew up in an even smaller village called Leikong on the island of Gurskøy, which is located to the south of the city of Ålesund. She started undergraduate studies at the Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics in Oslo in August 1986. In January 1992 she obtained the Norwegian Cand. Scient. degree (Master of Science) with her thesis ''Observations and analysis of the mutual phenomena of the Galilean satellites in 1990-1991'', supervised by Kaare Aksnes. Førde
Førde is a former municipality in the county of Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. It was located in the traditional district of Sunnfjord. The administrative center was the town of Førde which in 2016 had 10,255 inhabitants. Other villages in Førde municipality included Bruland, Holsen, Moskog, and Haukedalen. The Øyrane area in the town of Førde was a large industrial/commercial area for the region. The European Route E39 highway passed through the municipality, and it passed by the lake Holsavatnet. Førde Airport, Bringeland was the regional airport, located about from the town centre with flights that connect Oslo and Bergen with Førde. The airport was actually located in neighboring Gaular municipality, just south of the border. Stockholm Observatory
The Stockholm Observatory ( sv, Stockholms observatorium, 050) is an astronomical observatory and institution in Stockholm, Sweden, founded in the 18th century and today part of Stockholm University. In 1931, the new Stockholm Observatory ( sv, Saltsjöbaden Observatory, 052), nicknamed "Saltis", was inaugurated on the Karlsbaderberget at Saltsjöbaden, near Stockholm, and operated until 2001. There are records of daily weather observations from the observatory going back to 1754. The Stockholm Observatory site at Saltsjöbaden was established with a 40-inch (102 cm) reflecting telescope from Grubb, built in 1931. Also of historical interest is a double telescope by Grubb, the 24/20-inch refractor, with has one 24-inch aperture another 20-inch on the same mount established in 1931. The Research Council (also the Research Council of Norway; no, Norges forskningsråd) is a Norwegian government agency that funds research and innovation projects. Noordwijk () is a town and municipality in the west of the Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The municipality covers an area of of which is water and had a population of in .
