Anita Tijoux
Anamaría Tijoux Merino (; born 12 June 1977), commonly known by her stage name Ana Tijoux or Anita Tijoux, is a Chilean-French singer and musician. She became famous in Latin America as the MC of hip-hop group Makiza during the late 1990s. In 2006, she crossed over to the mainstream of Latin pop after her collaboration with Mexican songstress Julieta Venegas in the radio hit " Eres para mí". Tijoux has often been praised for "exploring sensitive matters devoid of violence." She gained more widespread recognition following her second solo album, ''1977'', and later with '' La bala'' (2011) and '' Vengo'' (2014) which brought her a ''Best Artist of the year'' award in the 2015's ''Premios Pulsar''. Tijoux is the daughter of Chilean parents living in political exile in France during Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship in Chile. Los Tres also known as The Tr3s or The 3, is a Chilean rock band. The band was formed in 1987 in Concepción by Álvaro Henríquez, Roberto Lindl, Francisco Molina and later Ángel Parra Jr. joined. Tiro de Gracia is a Chilean Hip-Hop group formed by the MC's: Lenwa Dura and Zaturno "Tiro de Gracia" was known for their raw lyrical style. They initially performed using cassette tapes looped by "DJ Raff" former member of " La Pozze Latina". During this time the group recorded two independent albums titled "Arma Calibrada" and "Homosapiens", which were distributed hand to hand on the local hip hop scene. Makiza 2005
Makiza was a Chilean hip hop group formed in 1997. The group’s music was known for its political and social criticism, with their lyrics often attacking the military dictatorship of Chile. Before breaking up in 2006, the group was one of the most successful hip hop acts in Chile. History In 1999, Makiza released "Aerolineas Makiza" on Sony Music Entertainment, who became interested in Chilean rap as a result of Tiro de Gracia, a bestselling Chilean rap group. Los Tetas
Los Tetas is a Chilean funk band formed in 1994 by four musicians: Pepino (drums), Rulo (bass), C-Funk (Guitar, keyboard and vocals) and Tea Time (scratch and vocals). The group's first single, "Corazón de Sandía", was a summer hit from their first album "Mama Funk", which comprised sixteen songs and was released in 1995 under the EMI label. Two years later a second big hit "Cha cha cha" was released as a single, featuring Juan Sativo, a rap artist from Chilean band Tiro de Gracia. Also in 1997 another album with fifteen songs, called "La Medicina", was released under the EMI Odeon label.
