Anirban Chakrabarti is an Indian Bengali film actor. Chakrabarti is known for portraying the character ''Ekenbabu'' in a web series. He also played the character Jatayu in a web series directed by Srijit Mukherji. Currently, he is portraying the role of "Ekenbabu" in the film '' The Eken'' that released in 2022. Career In 2018–2021 Anirban Chakrabarti played the lead character Ekenbabu in the '' Eken Babu web series''. His portrayal of the character received positive reception. He also acted in another web series ''Rabindranath Ekhane Kokhono Khete Asen Ni'' (2021). After the success of ''Ekenbabu'', a film released in 2022. ''Once Upon A Time In Calcutta'' is a 2021 Bengali language Indian-French-Norwegian film directed by Aditya Vikram Sengupta. It is the third film by the Indian director and produced by Wishberry Films, in association with For Films, with Catherine Dussart Productions (of France) and DUOfilm As (of Norway). The film had its world premiere at the 78th Venice International Film Festival in September 2021. The film stars Sreelekha Mitra as the protagonist, along with Arindam Ghosh, Bratya Basu, Satrajit Sarkar, Anirban Chakrabarti, Rikita Nandini Shimu and debutant Shayak Roy in supporting roles. West Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards commonly referred as WBFJA Awards, is given by The West Bengal Film Journalists' Association. The association was founded in 2013 in Kolkata. The award show is called ''Cinemar Somaborton'' (). Overview WBFJA can be called the successors of BFJA the oldest association of film critics in India, which was founded in 1939. BFJA used to felicitate Indian Cinema every year. In 2013, the last BFJA Awards were held in Kolkata, same year as the WBFJA was founded. That was the time WBFJA decided to be the successor of BFJA by giving awards to the Bengali Cinema in particular.
