Animetal Marathon II
is the second album by Japanese novelty heavy metal band Animetal, released through Sony Records on February 21, 1998. The album consists of a non-stop marathon of metal covers of theme songs of tokusatsu series from the 1970s and 1980s. A karaoke version of this album was also released. "Let's Go! Rider Kick," "Fight! Kamen Rider V3," "Setup! Kamen Rider X," "Amazon Rider Koko ni Ari," "Kamen Rider Stronger no Uta," and "Moero! Kamen Rider" were recorded separately as a marathon EP titled ''Tokusatsu de Ikou!'' Like the first marathon CD, some songs incorporate guitar riffs from well-known hard rock and heavy metal songs. Most notable is "Tatakae! Chōjin Bibyūn", which uses the guitar riff of Van Halen's " Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love." Animetal
was a Japanese heavy metal band who specialized in metal covers of theme songs from classic and modern Japanese anime and tokusatsu television series. They were composed of several luminaries of the Japanese metal scene, most notably vocalist Eizo Sakamoto, who has been involved off and on with Anthem as well as participating in various other projects including the pop rock group Nerima, the JAM Project, and a successful solo career where he also plays lead guitar as well as vocals. As of 2006, the band is currently on indefinite hiatus. Sakamoto has since begun a similar project called Eizo Japan, but in 2013 he announced that he and She-Ja were reforming Animetal as . Kikaider 01
(Pronounced as ''Kikaider Zero One''), is a tokusatsu superhero TV series, and a sequel series to '' Android Kikaider''. Produced by Toei Company and Ishimori Productions, it was broadcast on NET (now TV Asahi) from May 12, 1973 to March 30, 1974, with a total of 46 episodes. Its title in Hawaii is ''Kikaida 01'' (based on the Japanese title). Kikaider 01 made an appearance alongside Kikaider, Inazuman, and Zubat in the 2011 movie OOO, Den-O, All Riders: Let's Go Kamen Riders. Steppenwolf was an American-Canadian rock band that was prominent from 1968 to 1972. The group was formed in late 1967 in Los Angeles by lead singer John Kay, keyboardist Goldy McJohn, and drummer Jerry Edmonton, all formerly of the Canadian band the Sparrows. Guitarist Michael Monarch and bass guitarist Rushton Moreve were recruited via notices placed in Los Angeles-area record and musical instrument stores. "Ace of Spades" is a song by English heavy metal band Motörhead and the title track to the album ''Ace of Spades''. It was released as a single in October 1980. Overview Initially issued as a 7" vinyl single on 27 October 1980 as a preview to the album ''Ace of Spades'' and autumn tour, the song was also released by Bronze Records as a 12" vinyl pressing in special Christmas picture sleeves, limited to 50,000 copies. The picture of the band in Santa outfits used on the cover was taken at the Aylesbury Fair, while the band were on tour. Motörhead
Motörhead () were an English rock band formed in London in 1975 by Lemmy (lead vocals, bass), Larry Wallis (guitar) and Lucas Fox (drums). This was the first superhero TV series produced by Toho Company Ltd., and was broadcast on NET (now TV Asahi) from October 6, 1972 to September 18, 1973, with a total of 52 episodes. Produced by P Productions, it was the production company's seventh tokusatsu series, following ''Tetsujin Tiger Seven'' and preceding ''Bouken Rockbat''. Vocalist Ronnie James Dio had just finished his first tenure in Black Sabbath, whose drummer, Vinny Appice, he took with him to put together his own band. Dio was an American heavy metal band formed in 1982 and led by vocalist Ronnie James Dio. Dio left Black Sabbath with intentions to form a new band with fellow former Black Sabbath drummer Vinny Appice. The name Dio was chosen because it made sense from a commercial standpoint, as the name was already well known at that time. The band released 10 studio albums and had numerous lineup changes over the years, with Dio himself being the only constant member. , translated as ''Iron Man Tiger Seven'', was a Japanese tokusatsu television series that broadcast on Fuji TV from October 6, 1973 to March 30, 1974 with a total of 26 episodes, produced by P Productions.
