Animetal Marathon
is the first full-length album by Japanese novelty heavy metal band Animetal, released through Sony Records on March 21, 1997. The album consists of a non-stop marathon of metal covers of anime themes from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. A karaoke version of this album was also released on April 21, 1997. This is also the only studio album to feature the band as a quartet; all other releases have the band as a trio with a guest drummer. "Gatchaman no Uta," "Combattler V no Theme," "Yūsha Raideen," "Tatakae! Casshan," "Mazinger Z," "Getter Robo" and "Devilman no Uta" were previously recorded as a six-minute marathon and independently released as the band's self-titled 1996 EP. "Uchū Senkan Yamato," "Umi no Triton," "Great Mazinger," "Tatakae! Animetal
was a Japanese heavy metal band who specialized in metal covers of theme songs from classic and modern Japanese anime and tokusatsu television series. They were composed of several luminaries of the Japanese metal scene, most notably vocalist Eizo Sakamoto, who has been involved off and on with Anthem as well as participating in various other projects including the pop rock group Nerima, the JAM Project, and a successful solo career where he also plays lead guitar as well as vocals. As of 2006, the band is currently on indefinite hiatus. Sakamoto has since begun a similar project called Eizo Japan, but in 2013 he announced that he and She-Ja were reforming Animetal as . Triton Of The Sea
is a 1969 Japanese manga series created by Osamu Tezuka for Kodansha. The manga was adapted by the Asahi Broadcasting Corporation into a 27-episode anime television series from April 1 to September 30, 1972, directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino (in his directorial debut). Digital Manga successfully crowd-funded the U.S. release of the manga on Kickstarter in 2012. Plot 5000 years ago, the Triton clan lived in Atlantis until the Poseidon clan destroyed them all out of envy, leaving Triton the last survivor of his kind. Wakusei Robo Danguard Ace
is a Japanese science fiction anime series created by Leiji Matsumoto with Dan Kobayashi. ''Danguard Ace'' is Matsumoto's only contribution to the mecha genre. Synopsis Danguard Ace takes place on a future Earth in which natural resources have been depleted. People have begun looking toward other planets to survive, in particular to the fictional tenth planet, Promete. Although people had hoped to peacefully settle there, disaster strikes as the first explorers are destroyed by betrayal. Dino Mech Gaiking
is a Japanese Super Robot mecha anime series produced by Toei Animation. For distribution purposes, Toei refers to this television series as ''Dino Mech Gaiking''. It ran from April 1976 through January 1977 and consisted of 44 episodes of 25 minutes each. ''Gaiking'' was notable for being one of the few super robot series to take place in real places outside Japan, and for being the first Super Robot series to have a mobile carrier for the chief robots. In the US, ''Gaiking'' was part of Mattel's popular Shogun Warriors import toy line of the late 1970s and Jim Terry's '' Force Five'' anthology series. Crazy Train
"Crazy Train" is the debut solo single by English heavy metal vocalist Ozzy Osbourne and was released in 1980 from his debut album as a solo artist, ''Blizzard of Ozz'' (1980). A live version of the song recorded in 1981 from the album ''Tribute'' was also released as a single in 1987 with an accompanying music video. The song was written by Osbourne, Randy Rhoads and Bob Daisley. The lyrics deal with the subject of the Cold War and the fear of annihilation that existed during this period. John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne (born 3 December 1948) is an English singer, songwriter, and television personality. He rose to prominence during the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, during which period he adopted the nickname "Prince of Darkness". , also known as "Brave Reideen" or "Heroic Raydeen", is a super robot anime series created by Tohokushinsha and Produced by Soeisha (later renamed as Sunrise). is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Dōga and animated by Nippon Sunrise, directed by Tadao Nagahama as his last work. It is the third and final installment of the '' Robot Romance Trilogy'', following ''Chōdenji Robo Combattler V'' and ''Chōdenji Machine Voltes V''. It aired on TV Asahi and its affiliates from April 1, 1978 to January 27, 1979, consisting of 44 episodes. ''Combattler V'', full name , is a Japanese mecha anime television series produced by Toei Dōga and animated by Soeisha (later renamed as Nippon Sunrise) that aired from 1976 to 1977.
