The album contained all the band's singles - "Everyone's A Winner", "Summer of Love" and "Animal Games" although the mix of "Everyone's a Winner" is different from the single version. The catalogue number was MCA MCF 2823. The album was also released on music cassette TC - MCF 2823. In 1997 Captain Oi! Records released a 'best of London' CD called ''London The Punk Rock Collection'' that contains all the tracks to be found on ''Animal Games''. IBC Studios
The IBC Recording Studios were independent recording studios located at 35 Portland Place in London, England. In the 1960s and 1970s, the studios become internationally famous after being used by recording artists like the Kinks, the Who, Bee Gees, Cream and others. History In 1930, Leonard Plugge established the International Broadcasting Company (IBC) as a commercial rival to the BBC, with IBC's studios utilized for radio production work. In the years following World War II, IBC's work gradually shifted from radio production to music production, and in 1962, Plugge sold the studios to BBC conductor Eric Robinson and musician George Clouston. Bolstered by the success of clients like the Who, IBC was regarded as one of the top recording studios in London in the late 1960s. MCA Records was an American record label owned by MCA Inc., which later became part of Universal Music Group. Pre-history MCA Inc., a powerful talent agency and a television production company, entered the recorded music business in 1962 with the purchase of the New York-based US Decca Records (established in 1934), including Coral Records and Brunswick Records. MCA was forced to exit the talent agency business in order to complete the merger. As American Decca owned Universal Pictures, MCA assumed full ownership of Universal and made it into a top film studio, producing several hits. Simon Napier-Bell
Simon Robert Napier-Bell (born 22 April 1939) is an English record producer, music manager, author and journalist. At different times, he has managed artists as diverse as the Yardbirds, John's Children, Marc Bolan, Japan, London, Ultravox, Boney M, Sinitta, Wham!, Blue Mercedes, Alsou and Candi Staton, among others. Early years Napier-Bell attended Durston House in Ealing and then later a primary school at Perivale. He then attended Harrow County School for Boys and Bryanston School in Dorset. Whilst at Bryanston he formed the school's first jazz band. When he left school at age 17, it was with the idea of becoming a professional musician, preferably in America. A year later, unable to get a visa to the United States, he emigrated to Canada. Napier-Bell is an atheist and an openly gay man. Hugh Jones is a British record producer with many important post-punk, new wave and alternative rock albums to his credit. Career In the early 1970s, Jones worked as an apprentice engineer in IBC Studios in Central London, while acting as lead singer in the band Mistral. Chris Townson
Chris Townson (24 July 1947 – 10 February 2008) was an English musician, illustrator and social worker. He was a founding member of the 1960s rock group John's Children, and a member of several other bands, including Jook, Jet and Radio Stars. He replaced The Who's Keith Moon on drums on a 1967 UK tour after Moon had injured himself, and he jammed with Jimi Hendrix at the Speakeasy rock club in London. Later in his life Townson quit the music business and became an illustrator and a highly respected social worker. Biography Chris Townson was born in Battersea, London on 24 July 1947. He was abandoned by his parents at the age of four, and spent his early childhood in foster care.
