Aniek Van Koot
Aniek van Koot (born 15 August 1990) is a Dutch wheelchair tennis player who is a former world No. 1 in both singles and doubles. Van Koot is a 23-time Grand Slam champion, having won the 2013 Australian Open, 2013 US Open and 2019 Wimbledon Championships in wheelchair singles. She has also won 17 major titles in doubles, variously partnering Florence Gravellier, Daniela di Toro, Jiske Griffioen and Diede de Groot. Van Koot has completed the calendar year Grand Slam in doubles on two occasions, in 2013 with Griffioen, and in 2019 alongside de Groot. She won the Wheelchair Tennis Masters in 2014 in singles, and in 2012, 2015 and 2018 in doubles. The Summer Paralympics also known as the Games of the Paralympiad, are an international multi-sport event where athletes with physical disabilities compete. Wheelchair Tennis Masters
The Wheelchair Tennis Masters refers to a pair of end of year tennis events for wheelchair athletes held on an annual basis under the jurisdiction of the International Tennis Federation. The Wheelchair Tennis Masters for singles is an end-of-year wheelchair tennis tournament, broadly analogous to the ATP Tour and WTA Championship finals. Initiated in 1994 for men and women's singles, and 2004 for quad players (quad tennis being a mixed gender sport) both genders compete at the same event. The top eight players (men and women), and the top six quad players, are invited to the Masters. The ranking is based on their ranking after the US Open is played. The round robin format is comparable to that which operates at the ATP World Tour Finals and WTA Championships. The Masters is described as the official ITF year-end singles championship. Diede De Groot
Diede de Groot (born 19 December 1996) is a Dutch wheelchair tennis player who is the current world No. 1 in both singles and doubles. De Groot is a 31-time major champion, having won 16 titles in singles, and 15 titles in doubles. In 2021, she achieved the first calendar-year Super Slam in tennis history by winning all four singles major titles, the Paralympic gold medal, and the Wheelchair Tennis Masters title in women's singles. The following year, she became the first player in any discipline of tennis to "defend" the Grand Slam, and win all four majors in two consecutive years. De Groot also completed the Grand Slam in doubles in 2019, partnering Aniek van Koot. Jiske Griffioen (born 17 April 1985) is a Dutch professional wheelchair tennis player. In doubles, Griffioen is a 14-time major champion, Paralympic gold medalist, seven-time Masters champion, and a former world No. 1. Alongside Aniek van Koot, Griffioen completed the Grand Slam in doubles in 2013. Daniela "Danni" Di Toro (born 16 October 1974) is an Australian wheelchair tennis and table tennis player. Di Toro was the 2010 French Open doubles champion and has also been the Masters double champion. In singles, Di Toro is the former world number one and two time masters finalist. In 2015, she moved to para-table tennis and represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics, where she was team captain with Kurt Fearnley. At the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, her sixth Paralympics, she was the team captain and Opening Ceremony flag bearer with Ryley Batt. The Grand Slam in tennis is the achievement of winning all four major championships in one discipline in a calendar year, also referred to as the "Calendar-year Grand Slam" or "Calendar Slam".
