Ani-Mayhem
''Ani-Mayhem'' is an out-of-print anime-based collectible card game first released in 1996 in the wake of the CCG boom created by the popularity of ''Magic: The Gathering''. Produced by the merchandising arm of Pioneer Animation (now known as Geneon) and published by Upper Deck Company, Ani-Mayhem's cards featured images from a variety of anime series and movies. The first two sets were composed of multiple productions and the third and final set was based entirely on the long-running ''Dragon Ball Z''. History Ani-Mayhem was created in the post-''Magic'' boom. When the first set, commonly known as Set 0, was published, its rulebook was considered uninformative and incomplete. Later printings of the game attempted to fix this by including a more detailed rulebook that fundamentally altered the way the game played. (abbreviated as NBCUEJ) is a Japanese music, anime, and home entertainment production and distribution enterprise headquartered in Akasaka, Tokyo, Akasaka, Minato, Tokyo, Minato, Tokyo. WARS Trading Card Game
The ''WARS Trading Card Game'' is an out-of-print trading card game released by Decipher in October 2004 with science fiction themes, using game mechanics from the ''Star Wars CCG''. After two releases, the game was officially "placed on hiatus" in May 2005. After the hiatus, the game received multiple spin-off print publications, first from Grail Quest Books, and then Arcbeatle Press. Background This trading card game was significant for a number of reasons. It is Decipher's only card game that isn't based on a licensed property (the phrase "proprietary science fiction property" was repeated over many news releases). Weiß Schwarz
is a Japanese collectible card game created by Bushiroad. The game is separated into Weiß-side and Schwarz-side. "Weiß" and "Schwarz" are German language for white and black, respectively. Gameplay The game focuses on two main aspects: character battle and clock/level which regulate what cards can be played as well as acting as a player's life points. ''Big Eyes, Small Mouth'' (''BESM'') is a tabletop role-playing game originally produced by Guardians of Order in 1997 that was designed to simulate the action of anime and manga. The title alludes to the common anime drawing style of characters with large expressive eyes and comparatively small mouths. Gameplay BESM uses a point-based character creation system. is a comedy/horror anime produced by Madhouse and Pioneer LDC. It was originally released as a four-episode original video animation (OVA) in Japan between August 25, 1994 and February 25, 1995. An English-dubbed version was released in North America by Pioneer (now Geneon Universal Entertainment) shortly thereafter. The plot of ''Phantom Quest Corp.'' revolves around Ayaka Kisaragi, the proprietor of a Shinjuku, Tokyo company dedicated to helping those in need of paranormal aid. The title is a play on words: ''Yūgen Gaisha'' (often written as ''You-Gen-Kai-Sya'') means "limited liability company" in Japanese; but when written with different characters, the word ''yūgen'' can also mean "the occult." is a Japanese anime, light novel and manga franchise. The original series began with a six-episode OVA called created by Masaki Kajishima and directed by Hiroki Hayashi, and released in Japan on September 25, 1992.
