Angus Scott (television Presenter)
Angus Scott is an international broadcaster, journalist, university lecturer and academic. He has worked for Al Jazeera, beIN SPORTS, ITN, ITV Sport and Setanta Sports. He mainly covers football and rugby union, but has also hosted cricket and motorsport coverage. In 2021 he completed a doctorate at the University of Winchester on Al Jazeera. Early career Angus started his television career presenting local news and sport having previously worked in newspapers. He presented football shows for Granada in Manchester and Carlton. He then crossed the border to present HTV Wales rugby programmes. HTV is where Angus started his career in the 80s. He also frequently presented Carlton/LWT's ''London Tonight''. Bristol
Bristol () is a city, ceremonial county and unitary authority in England. ITV Wales & West
ITV Wales and West, previously known as Harlech Television (HTV), was an ITV franchise area in the United Kingdom until 31 December 2013, licensed to a broadcaster by the regulator Ofcom. There is no channel, past or present, named "ITV Wales and West". The licence relates to a "dual region", meaning that the franchise area was divided into two sub-regions, Wales and the West of England, each of which had to be served by distinct and separate ITV programme services, as more fully defined within the licence. Jim Rosenthal
Jim Rosenthal (born 6 November 1947) is an English sports presenter and commentator. In a long broadcasting career, Rosenthal has presented coverage of many sports including football, rugby, automotive racing, boxing and athletics. He has covered eight FIFA World Cups, three Rugby World Cups, two Olympic Games and 150 Formula One races. Early life Rosenthal grew up in Oxford, the son of Maud Ruth ( Levy) and Albrecht Gabriel "Albi" Rosenthal, a music scholar and antiquarian book seller who was from an academic family. His father was born in Munich, Germany. His paternal great-grandfather, Leo Olschki, founded the Leo S. 2003 Rugby World Cup
The 2003 Rugby World Cup was the fifth Rugby World Cup. Originally planned to be hosted by India, all games were shifted to Australia following a contractual dispute over ground signage rights between the Indian Rugby Union and Rugby World Cup Limited. The pre-event favourites were England, regarded by many at the time as the best team in the world. New Zealand, France, South Africa and defending champions Australia were also expected to make strong showings, with New Zealand being second favourites after victory in the southern-hemisphere Tri-Nations championship. 1999 Rugby World Cup
The 1999 Rugby World Cup was the fourth Rugby World Cup, the quadrennial international rugby union championship. It was principally hosted by Wales, and was won by Australia. This was the first Rugby World Cup to be held in the sport's professional era. Although the majority of matches were played outside Wales (shared between England, France, Scotland and Ireland) the opening ceremony, the first match and the final were held in Cardiff. The Championship (TV Programme)
''The Championship'' (formerly known as ''Championship Goals'' between January 2008 and May 2008) is a British football television programme featuring highlights from the Coca-Cola Football League. It was almost always shown on Sunday mornings on ITV, presented by Matt Smith. Despite its name, it also covered Football League One and Football League Two matches, albeit to a lesser extent than Championship matches. The show included various additional features since it began in August 2004 and had its format changed due to widespread criticism of the number of commercial breaks.
